I need Weight Advice

Okay so I am fully aware that I am overweight and I've wanted to lose weight and such just needed a goal and like a routine? If you may I guess.
I am 16 6'1 and 230, I did a bmi test or whatever and it said ideal weight is 202? Which sounds ridiculous to me personally so which is why I came here :) Granted I wasn't even entirely sure if it was right or wrong because even now I don't even LOOK that overweight. Like most of everyone just thinks I am skinny still so I was just shrugging it off I guess and wanted someone else to tell me what an ideal weight is considering the situation.
I can't unfortunately go to a gym right now since I am away from home, but I was looking to get at an ideal weight before I have to get back to a normal school routine etc which I prefer to be around July 23rd or so. I wanted to know if it's even POSSIBLE to get to the ideal weight or very close before then, what exercises I could do to make it SEEM like I am thin I guess if that makes sense?

ANYWAYS.
I was wondering if someone could give me advice on what exercises I could do. I mainly want to focus on my stomach and thigh area since those two places are the only places that are noticable I guess? I am aware that you can't just burn fat off one certain area and it comes off where it pleases basically but I just want to be able to make those two areas seem the most..toned I guess.

If anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate it :)

Hey man,

It's no big deal that you don't have access to a gym! If you wanna get your heart pumping and shed some pounds I'd recommend doing something like this:

Squats - 25
Pushups - 15
Jumping Jacks - 50
Mountain Climbers - 20
Plank - for a minute or two

If it's too easy or too hard then you can definitely change up the numbers. Try and rest as little as possible in between each exercise, trust me you'll feel the burn.

Not everyone has access to a gym, so it's a great skill to be able to workout at home.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you so much for responding :) And just a few if you dont mind.
What does "Planking" Do for you? Like what are the benefits that it does for you because I just can't think of anything.
And do you feel I could lose quite a bit of weight if I do this everyday along with running?
Goal is to be at a good weight by July 23rd or so

Planking is an awesome ab exercise!

Yes, you definitely can lose a significant amount of weight by then. Just make sure you're really out of breath and tired by the end of your workout. If going through the cycle once is too easy then do it two times.

Adjust it depending on your level of conditioning.

Also, what's your diet like?

As of right now I don't have much of one really.

Breakfast consists of a banana or yogurt

Lunch-nothing
dinner- salad or nothing

And I did most of all of what you said and I just ran/jogged for 30 minutes also. I am pretty determined to get more toned by the date I set so I probably will be doing everything you suggested everyday

Alright sounds good! Eat healthy and do the exercises and you'll be fine.

If in a couple weeks the workout's too easy then make it harder!

Let me know your results in a month. (removed)

Of course :) I'll probably add in something for lunch that's healthy once I pick up more healthy food but as of right now I a mfine with my current diet. Just a matter of keeping up with the exercises in all honesty because I get frustrated when I don't see progress quickly which is the main issue since you can't notice progress instantaneously

All the suggestions recommended are best. I like to follow the advices and share with friends. Here nothing to add up much just to appreciate for nice replies and guidance.

lack of access to the gym is never a problem if you want to lose weight or wanted to get lean. I find the P90X a good exercise video for you. It has various routines that will help you get lean in a period of 90 days.

That is a terrible diet. I can't believe someone said 'sounds good!' to that. You are not eating enough to fuel your body. You need to eat more, to your body's macronutrient requirements. You have mentioned NOTHING about protein.

Mountain climbers are a great exercise, yes. But to prescribe it to an overweight person is :|

'Toning' is essentially getting rid of body fat to make your muscles more defined and stick out more. Fix your diet.

These can be the great exercises can do by everyone who had the same problem of PatrickL. Doing these in a right way can bring good results.

You know the fact is when we think about reducing belly fat, the first thing that comes to mind is probably abs exercises. Namely, which ones should you do to get rid of this fat?

Basically abs exercises may be the least important thing you do, although strengthening your abs is just as important as the other muscles in your body. The key to losing belly fat, however, is more about burning more calories than you eat and letting your body respond to that.

In other words, you can't do abs exercises in the hopes of reducing belly fat.

That said, it's still important to work your abs, but you're better off concentrating on cardio, strength training and your diet for the best results.

When you do work your abs, treat them like any other muscle group -- challenge them with a few, well-chosen exercises, perform 2 to 3 sets of 10 to 16 reps, and give them a day of rest between workouts. Some of the most effective exercises include:

• Bicycle
• Ball Crunch
• Long Arm Crunch
• Reverse Crunch
• Plank

Don't forget, there are a number of whole body exercises that work your abs while targeting other muscles, which save time and makes your workouts more functional. You can find these challenging exercises in the following core workouts:

• Dynamic Abs
• Core Exercises on the Ball
• Total Core Workout
• More Ab Workouts

Now come to your thigh fat. You know strength-training will help give your thighs a lean appearance and burn more calories while at rest.

However, to burn the calories you need to shed excess fat, it is necessary to include aerobic exercise as part of your training regimen. Some exercises you can do at home include walking, jogging, jumping rope and dancing.

These types of exercises also work mostly your lower body. Any activity that increases your heart rate will help burn off unwanted fat. Aim for at least 45 minutes of cardio, at least five days a week.

Hope so it would help you greatly.
