I Need to get fit or lose my job.

I had a big bing yesterday. I eat so much i was in pain but I still did not feel satisfied. I felt dissapointed I could not eat more.

How do you make yourself feel satisfied after a meal?

Hey you!!

Sometimes we all binge out on food...haha - i know it too well!
the other day i had a carrot cake - and then a month ago i had 4 tortilla wraps (800 kcal) ....in one go...I just went to the gym and didnt leave until i worked it off!
Dont let one thing let you down - dont give up!
What usually helps me: is to drink a big glass of water before eating - and then i eat less - it always works...maybe give it a go!

Good luck!!

Keep working at it Phil. Consistency will get you there. I remember having to do the run every year when I was in the military.

Thanks for the support it really helps. I like this forum already the progress chart is good for me as it only lets you up date it weekly. I had a bad habit of weighing myself every day and that is not realy helpfull.

the comments and support will keep me going

Well 1 month into it and so far pleased with the results I have got. A slight weight gain in week 3 was a low point. I can not really see or feel much difference between now and the start although my running is beginning to improve. I am still very impatient to see results but I know it does not work fast I just need to keep going. If I can achieve some where near the same weight loss in the second month I think then I will start to notice the difference

That chart looks good. Its all downwards. I need to find something like that.

With an important goal like your fitness test and the stakes being so high, i am sure you will achieve your goal.

I hope you can maintain it afterwards too.

it not working out. I need to concentrate 100% if I am going to make this work.
so far I have just waisted time.

well I now have passed the fitness test.

I have been training very hard and very relived I have now passed.

Funny thing is my weight is now 100Kg about the same as I started:banghead:

But now the pressure is off about the test I now want to concentrate on getting my weight down. (this will also help to make future test easier

Hi! What does the fitness test consist of, I'm very interested :O Glad you passed it, at least you know you're capable of doing stuff like that even whilst being a bit overweight. Imagine what you'd be capable of without that extra weight!

I need some advice here

I do like breakfast serial in the morning but I tend to fill a bowl as much as I can. How much is a heathy portion?

Hello Phillipb,

I can't answer you last question about the cereal, but I will congratulate you on passing the fitness test! I'm a retired Army Reservist and I know the pain of the dreaded weight control program and fitness tests. I can honestly say, I'm glad to have served, and also glad to have retired, but I must admit that my weight gain started a steady climb the minute I got my 20 year letter. I'm now 51 and on the journey to get back down to "fightin' weight" (for this old lady, that means 150 lbs..I started at 269 back in June 2011 and now I'm somewhere around 207 (I only weigh myself once/month and that's on the 1st of the month...so I'm betting it will be less based on the way my pants are fitting now!). I exercise on the elipitcal early in the morning for 1 hour each day...it wasn't easy when I started, and some days, it's not easy now, but I can crank out the calories on that thing! It's so much easier on my knees than running and I think I'm getting the same benefit, if not better.

Now that you've passed your fitness test, you might want to switch up the running with the eliptical every once in awhile.

Good luck and keep up the good work...the weight will come off if you are committed to it! my program is simple (not easy)...no processed sugars, low carb, no eating after 6:00pm (and yes, that means that some days, I don't eat dinner), no soft drinks (and that includes diet drinks) but lots of water, and only weigh myself once a month and exercise some every day (my some is normally 1 hour of hard cardio for a burn rate of 800 cals/day) ..it's about that simple..not easy, but thought I'd share my method..when I actually reach my goal weight, I'm thinking the 6:00pm rule will come off...but probably not the others...my body loves sweets and carbs too much!!
