I need some serious help please!!!

I joined this so I can find some answers on how to lose weight, I hate to say this but I'm 16, 6'2" 285 lbs. This is affecting my entire life. Even my family pick on me for it. I just don't want to worry about it anymore. I want to go to the beach and take my shirt off and feel good, I don't want girls to judge me anymore because I'm fat. I'm willing to do about anything. I have a home gym already, I just need a good diet and some motivation, please someone help me.

read all of the stickies in each forum.. they will answer most of your questions. congrats on getting motivated but no one here will write out a diet and excercise program for you from scratch. post in detail your current diet and everyone will go from there.

I made up different options for each day, so it wouldn't get boring, It's one breakfast, One lunch, One snack, One dinner.

In that case try and eat more meals, eat less at each sitting obviously but eat more frequently.

First of all go to to work out your Basal Metabolic Rate, you need to multiply this by a number which reflects your activity level but if you just follow instructions on the site you'll be OK

Then, to lose weight subtract 500 from your maintenance allowance per day, this will result in you losing about 2 lbs per week.

Then set up an account at and log what you eat every day, remember to include everything. The site will also break down where your calories are coming from, you should aim for something like 40% Protein, 40% Carbs, 20% Fat.
The site also enables you to track your weight over time and puts it into a nice little graph for you

Good luck

p.s. I have a feeling you might be over doing the fruit a bit, fruit is great in moderation but they contain a lot of sugar
