Let me first off just post a little history about myself.
A few years ago I weighed 300lbs. I started walking to work everyday because at the time I did not have a car. It was a total of 2 miles for the roundtrip. I did this five times a week.
I ate the same amount of food (to much Im sure), but in 6 months I dropped 75lbs to 215lbs. All the while just listening to a CD player and smoking a cigarette while I walked back and forth to work. Pretty amazing eh?
Fast forward a couple of years and life is much better, I eventually got a new car once I got my finances straight, but now I am back up to 262lbs. So sometimes its pretty depressing. Its obvious my willpower was completely lacking or I could have just kept walking to work. I am six feet tall, I beleive I should weigh around 190lbs, obviously more if I built muscle in addition to losing weight.
Heres where I need help. I know Im going to start jogging 1 mile in the moring and directly after that, swimming laps for about 15 minutes to cool off, yet keep the calories burning. This is what I need to know:
How many push ups and sit ups do I need to do a day?
But here is the twist, I want a definate answer. I do not want to hear, "Only do as much as you can handle," I cannot accept this because until I can build my willpower up, all that means to me is I can cop out once it gets difficult. If someone can tell me a definate answer, like "20 reps, 3 sets" kind of deal I can focus alot better, even if that means I do 60 sit-ups over the course of the entire day (1 rep morning, afternoon, dinnertime).
Im tired of being a fat-ass. I want a routine that mixes steady weight loss with components of a crash-course weight loss system.
Hope someone understands where Im coming from. Thanks for any responses!
