Hello everyone! I'm new to this site/forum, but I hope this will be just what I'm looking for =)

My brother, mother, and I are all very overweight, but we're also tall so that helps us a tiny bit I guess. Though I'm here to say that I need some really good dinner plans to help with our weight, but that are also affordable and quick. I get off work at 5 PM and so does my brother, but he leaves almost everyday around 6:30-7PM to do some community stuff. Though my mom works at home so she can make dinner at around 4:40 and it'll be done at 5, so everyone can eat dinner with each other.

But most of the time, my brother's schedule is all wacky, so some times he has to leave at 5:30, which that means... Fast Food! And that kills all of us. So really what I'm looking for people to help with is if you can help me find a good dinner that's kind of quick and tastes good. We live in the middle of no where in California, but we do have an Albertsons, that's the only food market we have and it's quite small. Though it has a pretty good selection.

So if anyone would like to help me find some healthy dinner plans, that would be great!

Also, just to put out there, I'm 5'8", about 195 pounds and I'm only 16 years old. The only form of exercise I do is walk around at school and sweep and mop classrooms at work. I'm starting to play Just Dance by myself every day for about 1-2 hours since we don't really have any kind of exerising equipment, so I hope that helps a bit.

Thank you everyone! If you have any ideas for a quick and healthy dinner please leave a comment! <3

Hey man

Nice to meet you.

I don't have any recipes sorry... I'm bad at cooking :p

I only walk the dog for exercise to but I do lift weights.

What I can say is that as long as your calories out > calories in you will lose weight.

I eat a double cheese burger every other day due to work commitments but because I generally eat less during the week I still lose weight. I here were your comming from though as sometimes I like the thought of eating more veggies.

Hope this helps.

You need to take responsibility for yourself and make the fast food meals good food meals.

Subway, Taco bell, Wendy's all have better choices than the usual burger joints.

I personally also like Fazoli's for time crunches.

Avoid cheese and mayo on the burgers.

Load way up on veggies if you go to Subway.

Think before you eat!

Have a look at the online nutrition guides, and pick out a meal before you go out!

Hey, Here's a list of some food that will help you lose weight. If you want more specific full meal plans just let me know and ill put some up for you :)

In this post I want to let you in on a little secret that the majority of people that want to lose weight don’t know. That one of the most widely accepted diet ‘facts’ to eat a varied healthy and balanced diet actually SUCKS. Instead of focusing on the problem we will focus on the solution, here are the top 7 foods that help burn body fat the fastest.

I hope you enjoy the list, let me know which ones you like the most…

# 1 Skinless, Boneless Chicken Breast

Mustard-Herb-Chicken-Breasts.jpg

This is definitely top of the list, nutritionally an 8oz chicken breast only has 220 calories and less than 2 grams of fat and carbohydrates whilst packing a massive 48 grams of extremely high quality protein. A great thing about chicken breast is that its easy to cook and it literally goes with anything; you can use it in a stir fry, curry, biriyani and it tastes great on its own with a bit of seasoning for flavour. It is also very cheap too, all of this makes chicken breast number 1 on the list.

# 2 Chilli Con Carne

Chilli con carne is a fantastic food that is great for fat loss. It is an all in one meal that includes all 3 fat loss super foods – protein (minced beef) legumes (red kidney beans) and vegetables (chopped tomatoes, onion, peppers) Another great thing about chilli con carne is you can make a big batch and keep it in the fridge to eat the next day, I generally use 400g of minced beef when I have chilli con carne and it generally lasts me 4 – 5 meals which is great because it means less cooking and less cleaning up after.

# 3 Salmon

The reason I like salmon is because it gives a nice change instead of chicken and the texture of salmon changes with how you cook it, whether you cook it in the oven or fry it in a frying pan for example. It’s also great to have fish in your diet for health purposes – fish is rich in omega?3 fatty acids, and essential vitamins and minerals which helps your resistance to disease and your energy and well?being in the long?term.

# 4 Lean Steak

While the best fat loss protein is chicken, steak is a very close second. Again like salmon its great to use as a alternative to chicken once or twice a week to spice things up a bit. I eat steak on occasion and use it more as a treat because of the higher fat content compared to chicken and fish, a lean 8oz steak has about 12 grams of fat where chicken breast only has about 2 grams, it also more expensive than chicken so I usually buy it when I see a good deal in the supermarket or as mid week treat half way to cheat day. Overall a fantastic source of protein to change it up with chicken breast.

# 5 Broccoli

Steamed broccoli is a fantastic food for fat loss as whole or part of the vegetable section of a fat loss meal. A 12†stalk of broccoli contains 9 grams of fibre which helps keep you full for longer so you don’t feel the need to binge and it also contain 7 grams of protein! The best way to cook broccoli is by steaming rather than boiling; this will retain more of the vitamins and minerals and it helps give it a crispier taste. When ever I eat mixed vegetables with a meal I always make sure to use cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower.

# 6 Eggs

Eggs are a fantastic fat loss food that allows you to make so many different variations on meals. I change between poached and scrambled eggs mainly but you can also fry or hard boil them. Experiment with adding your favourite vegetables, meats, and seasoning into your scrambled egg to add more taste and flavour. There is a big debate in the weight loss / fitness world about whether to use egg yolks or not. Personally I use egg yolks with all my egg meals and I still lose weight and body fat. Check out I often have 2 poached eggs, 2 rashers of turkey bacon and 2 organic sausages for breakfast. A perfect high protein fat loss breakfast to supercharge your metabolism for the day.

# 7 Green Tea

Incorporating green tea extracts in your diet can give you an extra helping hand in weight loss. Researchers have discovered that drinking a cup of green tea daily will boost your metabolism from 8 to 14 percent, that’s why they highly recommend it to those who are looking for a quick method to lose fat. The more polyphenols in the tea’s ingredients, the better its fat-burning effects and benefits will be. Green tea is a rich source of this particular antioxidant, and it is considered as one of the best weight loss alternatives available in the market. So next time your sitting down watching TV in stead of having tea with milk and sugar have some green tea instead. You’ll be glad you did when you weigh yourself the next morning.

And that’s it! Those are the best 7 foods that I use to maximise fat loss on diet days.
