Hello everyone
I need some feedback regarding fat loss. I am 41 years old male at 6'1 and 235 lbs with a 36-38 waist. I have an ectomorphic body type. Most of my life it was hard for me to gain weight, or to build muscle. So I was always skinny, in shape, and I always watched what I ate. My problem began approximately 9, years ago when I was making a transition from Maryland to California, I stayed with some friends for approximately three months. Since I didn't feel very comfortable cooking my regular meals at their house; I began to eat a lot of take out and foods that I typically would not eat.
I did not know that I gained weight until I picked up my dry cleaning one day and I discovered that I could not fit in my clothes. In approximately three months I went from weighting 190 with a 32 waist to 226 with a 36 waist. Every since then I been having serious trouble losing the weight and I have tried some aggressive exercise programs, supplements, and eating programs I kick boxed 4, days a week not a trendy exercise program like "Tae Bo". I actually trained as a boxer for 3 years.
One time I did succeeded in getting down back down to 193 about 6 years ago but I gain back the weight. Right now I am so frustrated with my inability to lose weight that I stopped working our altogether, and I know that is not the right thing to do but I feel that I cannot lose this weight. I would like to know if anyone in this forum can give me feedback on how I can loose this weight.
I do understand that after 30 the body metabolism changes , and I know that my current diet without exercise is adding to my problems. I do well wit concrete information that I can research. I think if I could get some information on weight loss according to body type and genetics it will help me greatly.
Right now I feel that no matter what I try I will not succeed so I just continue to eat this stuff that I know is not conducive to weight lost. So I can also use feed back on how to get over my frustration with my inability to lose weight. I strongly believe that I can lose the weight but I need better information in order for me to be successful.
Thanks David
