I need a healthy tuna receipe

I want a quick and easy tuna receipe, that could be made with just general food in the cupboard....i don't have many ingredients...and i don't want cheese.

Well is it canned tuna or a tuna fillet? If you're pretty knowledgeable about using replacement or low calorie/fat ingredients then what I do is just go on food.com or other recipe sites and use those as a starting point and reduce calories or pick whole grain ingredients, etc.

Try a seared tuna fillet with whole grain pasta, roasted bell peppers and a light pesto sauce with basil and sun-dried tomatoes.

What I like to do is put 1 can of tuna (drained) and mix in 1 tablespoon of grey pupon, 1 tablespoon of relish, and a little bit of tabasco sauce. I also like to sprinkle in garlic powder, shove it between 2 pieces of whole wheat bread, and stick that baby into my foreman grill for about 5 minutes!!

HEAVENLY BLISS!!! @ around 260 calories. I've been hooked on this for 2 months now... Wonder how long before I get tired of it?

I'm vegan and I usually use chickpeas in place of tuna. They taste pretty similar when made into a "tuno" salad:)

Tuna
Plain yogurt
scallions
celery
dijon mustard
tarragon
Salt/pepper
pecan/walnuts (optional)

Great tuna salad. Lots of protein. Its a chicken salad reipe I converted. Its great either way.

One can tuna
one tomato
a little diced onion
1/4 jalapeno diced superfine/no seeds
one clove garlic choped superfine
cilantro
basil
lime juice
sale/pepper
throw in a tortilla, eat with chips; pour over rice...

one can tun, 2 egg whites, spinach, seasonings. mix together and cook in fry pan (using spray) for tuna cakes. :)

I make a tuna dip...it has cheese but you could go without. I mix canned tuna with natural yoghurt, diced celery, lots of lemon pepper (grated cheese usually), chopped red capsicum, red onion.
Easy dip for carrot sticks etc.

Some of my favorite foods ever, and they're abridgable!

Low Fat Tuna melt

2 slices of Italian bread
Canned Tuna (in water)
a low fat sliced cheese (i like yellow american)
light/low fat mayo
thinly sliced tomato

Place cheese slices on bread, and toast on medium. Mix together your own ratio of tuna and mayo (let's say about 2 tbs of mayo per can). When the bread is toasted, add the tuna and tomato to one slice, put the other slice on top, and viola~!

Tuna Sandwich I don't have a special name for it! :'(
canned tuna in water
balsamic vinegar to taste
thinly sliced tomato
italian bread

mix together vinegar and tuna. then make a sandwich~

I hope these helped! I really like them. Theyre quick and delicious *drools*

Pumpkin Soup

The procedure...
4lbs. Pie pumpkin
2 slices smoked bacon(diced) Doesn't add enough fat to be bad but does add to the flavor
6 cups chicken stock/broth
2 medium sweet potatoes
3 leeks(white and tender green parts only, cleaned and sliced thin)
2 bay leaves
salt and fresh ground pepper(to taste)
Fat-free half & half
Tabasco(if desired)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Halve the pumpkins from top to bottom and place cut side down on greased baking sheet. Pierce the sweet potatoes with a fork and place on baking sheet with the pumpkins. Bake until the pumpkins and potatoes are easily skewered. About 45 to 60 minutes.

When done, remove from oven and allow to cool. In the meantime, put the bacon and leeks into a large soup pot and sweat till leeks are tender, stirring occasionally.

Scoop the pumpkin from the shell and remove the skin from the potatoes. Add the pumpkin and sweet potatoes to the leeks and bacon, pour in the chicken stock, add the bay leaves, salt and pepper. Stir, and simmer for about 45 minutes.

In small batches, put the pumpkin mixture into a food processor and puree till smooth. Pour the mixture back into a clean pot. Taste for seasoning and ad more salt and pepper if desired.

Set back to a simmer to heat back up, add the half-half while stirring to desired consistency. Add Tabasco to taste. Ladle into bowls and enjoy.
