Hi all..my first post...
I've been thinking of ways that I could share how I lost 6 stone of fat! No this isnt spam, I;m not trying to sell you something...

Mr White weighed 16 stone at 25 years of age (2004), been up and down with my weight my whole life. I split up with my GF of 5 years and decided to take on a life long ambition to get fit. I was well out of shape and if I'm honest depressed and didnt know why, as all was well...

After I'd done the obligatory bender for a few weeks I decided to do it. A friend of mine introduced me to Dr J Adamo's book Eat Right 4 Your Type (see amazon) which changed my life.

I found a theory that wasnt about weight loss but about diet in the traditional sense...what we eat, why it works for us etc. Long story short...I am an O type, the orginal blood type, the hunter gatherer...we're the most common blood type and we need lots of cardio excersice (like hunting would have been back then) and a mix of meat, fish, veg and fruit. NO wheat, NO dairy, NO Pork! NIGHTMARE!!! When your favourite dish is taglietelle! Within two weeks it chaged my life.

I felt better, I looked healthier, people noticed immediately! It makes sense that we are all different...but the same.... For those who have been to Thailand,,,Same, same! lol

Anyway, That was just the start. An old friend started a personal training company and it wasnt until another friend decided to sign up in order to get herself fit for a mates wedding did I even consider it! Always thought it was for the Hollywood set, rich surgeons and ladies who lunch but it wasnt as exclusive as i thought.

I started to do one session per week in Nov 2004 and it almost killed me! But I stuck it out, it wasnt easy as i was unfit, out of breath, red in the face embarrassed but I stucj it out...within 3 months noticed the difference. So much so I started doing 3 per week which ended up being 3 on one week 4 the next. I've been doing that ever since.

I now weight 11 stone on a 12% body fat (just under 6 foot tall) which we reckon means that I have lost 6 stone of fat as I have put on muscle through the training we do which includes circuits, weights, cross country, boxing, endurance training etc.

The experience has changed my life and I wish everyone the very best who is trying to lose a weight. A lot of people dont understand what its like to feel like you need to...

If you would like to talk to me about this reply to this, I'll give you a PM address and maybe the number of my Personal Trainer...lol

All the best guys,
WP

Hey

Hey

and welcome.

I'm new to this site also. Good place to get some support.

I haven't heard of the term "stone". Do you know how much that is in pounds?

Congratulations on the weight loss.
