I know why my diet sucks

My diet sucks because my culture doesn't promote meat..so my parents don't eat it. They don't want it in the house..they don't like to see it. The only time I eat meat is when I am out somewhere and that is usually at a restaurant making it unhealthy.

What are some good things to do with vegetables that are healthy. I tried making sandwiches with ketchup and fried onions (with low amounts of oil)...but the bread kills it (because it is so high in calories).
 
You can combine eggs and vegetables quite pleasantly. I call it an omelet. Its a basic formula: cook some (general) veggies in (general) sauce, perhaps soy sauce or low carb tomatoe/sweet and sour. Beat some egg whites, add a sprinkle of salt/pepper to taste, and pour into the pan. From here you can scramble, or allow it to form into a pancake-type form. The permutations are endless; people add milk to the eggs, cheese, onions, capsicum, etc.

obviously the eggs provide the protein and veggies provide the carbs. Depending on your goals, you may like to use a 1:5 ratio with egg yolks: egg whites. This will add some good fats, and round out what will then be a complete meal (it will have protein, fats, and carbs; obviously the quantities will be up to you
