I know I need to, but...

Ok, I need some suggestions here. I used to be very athletic in High School and have never been afraid to workout or sweat, but I find myself being too tired and worn out to really get a good workout. I know that the more I workout, the less tired I will feel in other parts of my life. My biggest obsticle right now is work. I work 7 days a week and it's kicking my arse. I have no choice.. HAVE to work this much, but hopefully it's just temperary and I can get a day off soon. I teach at a Cosmetology School 4 10hr days a week. Those days I spend 2 hours a day in the classroom teaching and the other 8 hours running around like a chicken with my head cut off on the clinic floor. With so many students working on so many different things at the same time it can really get crazy! (I've had cadet instructors follow me for a day and beg to shadow someone else as they can't keep up...lol). The other 3 days I work in a salon 6 to 10 hours a day. That is also alot of standing and running around. (it's a wonder why I'm not skinny already). Needless to say I'm pretty much not wanting to stand, let alone workout when I'm not working. Other then taking the dog for a walk, I try to stay off my feet and give my knees, feet and back a break as they are pounding by evening.

Any ideas, or should I just concentrate more on eating habits right now and hopefully things will improve and I can stop killing myself working so much and have the time and energy to workout later?

nutrition is a huge component and that will get you very far...

Sounds like you get a lot of steps in during the day, I wouldn't want to walk additionally in the evening... instead of getting inmore walking - what about adding in 20 -30 minutes of strength training or resistance type training (even pilates or yoga style stuff which would aid in stretching which would probably make you feel better after a long day)

and the resistance training will help maintain muscles as you cut back on calories...

Ahhh... see I knew I was overlooking SOMETHING I could be doing! lol

Stretching and strength are definitely something I can fit into my evenings. Thank you so much for reminding me :hurray:
