I hope there's room for another Tyson :D

Hiya guys & gals, My names Tyson and im 23 years of age, living on the gold coast of Australia and looking to beef myself up quickly, aswell as learn the right way to train myself, and eat right.

Q1) I heard that you can get fit and gain muscle working out when your stressed or really angry, tho its just something i read somewhere, just wanna confirm with some people, as I am really aggro latley from taking Champixx medication to quit smoking, wandering if i can channel my rage into a work out session to motivate me to go the extra mile, But i do realize i wont be able to force food down as easy if im stressed..

Q2) what protein shake would you recommend to take in the beginning, im fairly skinny.. i weigh probally 52 kg's if that im 6"1 ft tall.

Q3) also should i be lifting weights or just focusing on quitting smoking/eating right and doing situps and push ups ?

Thanks for reading :)

1) never heard that before. I think you may push yourself harder in these states, which may account for some extra gains, but you are also probably more likely to hurt yourself because you aren't focused.

2) I'm not sure what brands are available in Australia, but your local gym should be able to give you help with that.

3) situps are a bit of a waste, IMO. You should be doing all the above :) Weights will help you put on mass and quitting smoking is just plain good. Don't waste much time on situps ... they are pretty useless in the overall scheme of things. Do planks and other stability exercises instead.

Thanks Mate, really appreciate the feedback, I went to a chemist today and found this protein powder "Tony Sfeir's" they said it was the best and had little artifical sugars and what not, so would you also recommend this brand for starting out ?.

Also im fairly new to working out, what are planks and stability exercises. I am thinking of joining this 24/7 gym so i can go anytime they give you a couple lessons with an instructor so you get the gist of things then your on your own to use the equipment. Main reason for me going to this 1 is it hasn't got many people there, which can feel kind of intimidating when your skrawny lol.
