I have returned...

I was here back the spring of 2006 and then drifted away. I had lost a bunch of weight back then but I have gained about 60% of it back. I was at 260 at my heaviest. Now it's time to try again.

I believe in "eat less/exercise more" and so far it has served me well. I am trying to eat around 2000 calories per day. I have been walking anywhere from 30 to 40 miles per week on top of that and it seems to be working pretty well.

At any rate, I am looking forward to being back here. See y'all round.

Glad you found your way back. Have you identified where you went wrong last time?

Well, where did I go wrong last time? I'm glad you asked that question. I never thought about that. I find that I am very sensitive to changes in routine. I began to gain again after making a major move (from one country to another, actually). It was very hard to get back into my exercise routine. I think that was a major contributor. In fact, as I look back at my various weight loss failrues, I found it very hard to get back into an exercise routine once I broke it. After dropping the exercise, the over eating was quick to follow.

For me it's hard to know where I've failed because I've never really succeeded. lol.

But, good luck to you! :D

I've always succeeded in the past... but once school got in the way (aka midterms and finals) I would stop the gym routine, stop preparing my lunch and eat out and study every second I had (engineering is a tough major but worth it in the end).

Now that I have no more tests to study for, I am doing this! I was happy, I lost 12.5 lbs so far in 6 1/2 weeks. My wife also says she loves my tight butt now :Angel_anim:

I've never really been so dedicated and determined as I am now. Before when losing weight it would happen without me knowing really and also the opposite, it would come back on without me really realizing it.

You're off to an awesome start. The best part is when our lovers can see a difference. :D

I'm the same way! Here's us lookin divine like a fine wine that our lovers can enjoy antime!
:cheers2: Ahaha. That's awesome!

Ya know, one of my good friends told me to not let my new found determination end up being an obsession. But, I actually can't help it. It's like an obsession. What's so wrong with that though?

Cheers. :D

Steve, your simple question has really got me thinking. Thanks again for asking it.

You're welcome, and glad to hear.

It seems commonplace for people to gain and lose the same X amount of pounds without ever stopping to think about why isn't the loss sticking.

Identifying such reasons is the hardest/most important step I believe.
