Salut forumites and fellow noobs! Lovely to meet you.
So, the intro: I smoked a pack a day for 15 years. Just quit the cancer sticks this past September, and while I feel a gazillion times better, I've got two brand-spankin' new handfuls of jelly on my belly (and everywhere else).
I've put some of the money saved from not smoking into getting healthier groceries, some dumbells, a yoga mat and one of those huge-ass balls. Starting to put muscle back on, but the fat isn't going anywhere, so I'm just here to lurk and hopefully get-give some motivation and support along the way.
My focus is on regular exercise, nutrition and losing these pinchable inches. While I'd love to get my old high school GI Jane body back, for now I want to see if I can just get back into my pre-quit-September clothes.
Thanks much for reading, and I'll see you on the boards!
