I am a 21 year old male college student. I started my weight loss journey July 15th standing at 5'10" and weighing around 340lbs., I currently weigh 288lbs and my goal is 175lbs based on bmi (we'll see if I get that low I'm not sure how any weight under where I am will look on me). I have been fat as long as I can remember. On July 15th I was sitting at work and got to thinking why do I want to be this fat. I concluded I didn't. It was that night that I got off my ass and started walking. There is this road by my house that is 3 miles around it (its a big circle), this is where I started my walking routine because I knew that even once I got half way around and wanted to quit I couldn't because I'd still need to get home. I now am on a low calorie, low fat, high protein diet(which I love seeing how turkey, fish, and chicken are 3 of my favorite foods). I do 50 minutes of cardio M,W,F and I do 25 minutes of cardio and 1-11/2hrs of weight lifting S,T,TH. So far I have lost a little over 50 lbs in a little less than 21/2 months. I use a heart rate monitor when i do cardio so I adjust my training based off that. I'm hoping to have lost all of my excess weight by next summer.
