Hello everyone!

I'm a Korean girl at age sixteen. I'm 185.2 pounds at 5ft7in...and I'm pretty much sick of being fat.

Even my doctor said that my body type won't let me lose weight easily.

I eat pretty healthy but it's the portion...ugh.

Anyways, I decided to try again for weight loss...I always end up giving up or something every few days. Hopefully this forum will help me ^-^

I have a treadmill at home but I always have difficulty running over a mile. :(

Good luck. Perhaps you should try running less than a mile and working your way up. I just started running last week. I found an 8-week program online from Runner's World. Week 1 is run 1 min, walk 2 mins, repeat 10x on one day and the next day walk 30 mins. Then each week it adds mins to the run, eg. 2 mins run, 1 min walk, repeat 10x; run 3 mins, walk 2 mins, repeat 6x; etc.

One question you will want to find an answer to - is why you give up soon after starting?

Is the plan you're putting yourself on so restrictive that it's leading to not being able to stick with it?

Spend some time reading around the forum - there's a lot of good info for you to take with you for the rest of your life.

At your age, your body is still growing and developing you want to make sure that you've got adequate nutrition and rest of course - Do talk with whomever is the meal provider in your home about your goals..it's never a bad idea to involve the family in healthy eating

have you thought of speedwalking?!? i hate running with a passion... soo i would do 5 miles an hour... soo it was challenging... but i was able to do it without quitting as soon!!!
