Hi everyone. My name is Lindsay and I just registered here. Right now I weigh about 275 and my height is 5'9''. I am almost 20 years old, and so sick of being overweight. I have tried before, but always failed. I was diagnosed with depression, and I am not blaming my weight on it, because I know I did this to myself. But hopefully if I can lose weight it will lift my depression, and vice versa.
If anyone has some advice for me, I'm all ears. Right now, I really want to try the Turbo Jam exercise program. Has anyone here tried it?

We have a thread where you can find really good Motivational Quotes. It's very helpful and can really get your spirits up.

Welcome!

Hey Linz,

I haven't heard of the Turbo Jam exercise program before. Let us know how it goes if you do try it!

The most important piece of advice I can give you is to start slow. Make small, manageable changes. Once you've 'mastered' those changes, then you can add more. You want to make sure that you have a handle on things before adding more to your 'plate'.

Another suggestion would be to look around the forum, esp. at the stickies and people's weight loss diaries. This should give you some good info to figure out a starting point. Then go from there.

Good luck and ask lots of questions!

P.
