I am Fat and Pushing Fourty

Hi,
I am 39 years old and I have been fat since I was a toddler. I have spent my life going o fat camps in the summer and trying I thing after another to lose weight during the rest of the year.

6 years ago I had the lap band procedure done and went from almost 400 LBS to just under 300 where I have been ever since

I have a 19 month old girl and 4 years ago I had a heart attack.
For the past year I have been working out twice a week for a total of 4 hrs learning to fight MMA. When I started I could hardly do any of the warm up exercises but now I can do 17 push ups, 100 sit ups, 70 squats and 15 squat thrusts and run for a few minutes before I need to collapse.

Now if I can only stop eating junk food I am sure I would lose more weight
 
Welcome. I am sure you would lose weight too if you could stop eating junk food. It might help if you read my diary. See the link at the bottom of my page.

Thanks forty four I will check it out, but right now I need to go to the store and get 1 green pepper carrots and some batteries. I hope I have the strength to resist the tasty treats that always seem to jump into my cart lol. Wish me luck
 
Make a list of healthy snacks that you DO like and buy those instead. A sweet protein bar can really help curb some of your bad habits. Other things I like to replace crap with: bananas, red grapes.
 
I Love Fruit

I love fruits and vegetables and try to eat them often, unfortunately ever since I had my stomach band I have a very hard time with them, but I manage to eat fresh fruit and salad regularly. The odd thing is that candy, chips and cake I don’t have a problem eating.

And about the health bars I hate those things. They just make me want a real candy bar.
