I am adding more inches! Please help

Hi guys.. So a little bit about me. I am 24 , 5'3 and weigh 10'11 stone. I don't really care what the scales say.. It is what I see. I have big thighs and a horrible flabby belly. For years now I have been trying to lose weight but always give up. I crave sugar so much ! In the last three weeks I have been working out (mostly strength training) 30 minutes a day with two rest days. I focus on a different part of the body each day. I measured and weighed myself at the start. I have lost about 6 pounds, but my weight can go up and down 5 pounds in a day :/ But somehow I have added inches to my waist and Belly. Before I started I was eating chocolate for pretty much every meal. Now I actually eat proper food and try keep it healthy as possible, although I still have a bit of chocolate everyday. Not nearly as much as what I was eating! And I crave bread too. I just got gluten and wheat free bread today.. Is there any point to it or should I cut out all bread? Do I need to do more cardio? I am just getting so dicouraged and want to give up again!! Sorry this is so long. And thanks for your help :)

Weight Fluctuations are normal, have you got a wheat allergy or diagnosed as a coeliac ? if not then replacing one type of bread with another is not going to help although most bread is high is sugar and not a bad thing to cut from your diet.

Cardio is good for your cardiovascular health and should be included as part of your fitness training. You also need to ensure the intensity of your workouts are at a high enough level.

I hear ya, I LOVE dessert as well! The thing I learned during my weight loss journey is that the kind of sugar you eat makes a BIG difference on your health. I've switched from processed sugar to natural sugar desserts and cut out most bread, and the weight came off way easier then ever before in my life. As for chocolate, I eat it everyday as well. The key is to learn to love dark chocolate which has much less sugar but more chocolately flavor! Have you every tried a whole food dessert? If so, how did you like it?
