Hi all,

I am Rob, I am new here. 28 years old. 5' 10.5"

I live in Canada, and no, I don't live in igloos... that's further up north. I am a hockey fanatic.

So, the gist of why I am on this forum, I am a fat, morbidly obese, jello man. :willy_nilly:

I have been struggling with my weight for about 15 years. I have hypothyroidism, which wasn't diagnosed until after high school. Kind of wish, that it was diagnosed earlier. Might have saved me from bullies!

Before I changed my habits, especially, Wendy's, I was 320+ lbs. I was so heavy, that I was putting one hand behind me, to hold me up when I sit down on my stool. I struggled to walk, and I could feel my knees screaming.

I had edema, I was sitting down so much that fluid was pooling in my feet and legs. When I ate at Wendy's, I could literally feel my heart working harder, it was feeling compressed. I did eat at Wendy's a lot. Sometimes, it was first meal of the day. The only thing, I drank was Diet Pepsi, nothing else. I would buy boxes of Diet Pepsi.

I had lost my job, my fiancee, an old dog, another gf, morbidly depressed all in space of a year. And, then on November 2010, just after my b-day, I snapped out of it after seeing my pictures. I was so big, and it made me feel sick.

Now, I drink water only. My rule of thumb is, don't drink your calories except for protein. I eat cleanly, and try to follow the Michi Ladder. I don't buy my food in boxes, I always stick with the perimeter of the store. My favorite restaurant is Subway, not Wendy's. I am proud to say, the only time I went down pop aisle, was to get around an obstacle in the next aisle!

My weight is 285 and I lost 2 and half inches off my waist. Now, I can run 5mph, I bike every 2nd day. I walk my dog everyday for 40 min. I am also starting Insanity.

I have been going at this alone, so I am here for support, which I am not getting from my family or friends. My goal date is my birthday on November 2nd.

I have already taken, my before pictures. So, I know everybody here usually does that. I can't believe, that I actually took shirtless before pictures!! So, for the sake of keeping your meals in your stomach, here is my set with a shirt on:cool:

First left, my first picture. 3rd right, my current picture. November 11 - December 22. I still can't believe, how much bigger I was.

Hey Rob, sorry to hear about all the horrible stuff that happened to you. You seem to be on the right track now and I hope you can stay on it. Welcome and good luck :)
