Hello all I have been lurking for a little bit getign some idea's mainly looking at before and after storys. Which have been a great motivator. Lets start with my history I was a chunly kid from grade school on up but after high school and marage and children I found my self growing 10 pounds a year year after year.

Now 12 years out of high school I am 328 pounds a whoping 100 pounds more than I was in high school ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!

At my bigest I was 355,I worked hard real hard and came all the way down to 315 then it all ended one weekend I decided to gorge on some food and gave it up for a few months whammy back at 340.

Fast forward to 2 months ago I join gym min 3 days a week of walking on tread mill now at 328 I changed my eating habbits but still indulged on weeknds of what ever well last week I weighed in and lost nothing after a week and figured since I have almost got exercise down to a habit why not eat healthier and reek max benefits.

It realy pissed me off that I had been to gym 4 days that week and loss nothing reason being eatign so much on sat and sun well I plan to channel that anger into action.

Guess I just wanted to say hello I feel this forum could be the ticket to staying focused the more I surround my self with positive people and stay focused the better shot I have at this new healthy life style luckly for me I have some good friends who will jump my ass if I dont go to gym ha if it wasnt for them I would have never started again.

It takes a lot of motivation to come back and try and loose wieght when time after time I have tried and failed the difference this time is I realize its not a diet its a lifestyle change and you cant rush it I feel now is my time to shine I have a good head start and I am not looking back I look froward to talking to you all. :sifone::sifone::sifone::sifone:

Hey, I'm in the same boat as you (don't worry, it's helped by a blimp tied to the boat to help it stay up :p )

glad you have posted and definately share with us. It sounds like you have half of the equation together. Try a food diary to help keep you honest at the start. You will see those pounds drop!

hahaha...I love your thread title! There is a lot of inspiration to be found on this forum. You should start a diary if you're up for that sorta thing, I know it helps a lot of people stay accountable. Anyway, good luck with your weight loss! See ya around. :)

Hey...I had to see who this Lurker was...:)

Yes I think you have figured out why your not losing...That weekend overeating thing is wiping out all your hard work during the week...

Stay Focused and keep that mental picture in your mind at all times on how you want to look a year from now which will really help you.

Also know and believe that you can do it!!

I have found that learning proper Nutrition and getting educated about it is one of the biggest things you can do for yourself that will help you for the rest of your life in keeping your weight where it should be and where you want it to be..

Just don't stop and keep it going and before you know it people in your life will take notice making you feel better about yourself and push you even futher along in your goals...

As long as you have the Desire...You CAN make it happen!

Hey, your "lurker" title caught my attention! lol

Just wanted to welcome you to the forum. Making a dairy is a great way to keep accountable as well as get feedback, support and tips from others!

A good way to help you with your food is to keep track of your calories. Sometimes it's shocking how it adds up so fast! So I was using fitday.com and it really helped. Now I use a program on my iPhone (more convenient).

Good luck!
