Well, I'm here, just like everyone else, because I have a problem. I can't control my impulsive eating. I've always been an active person running cross country since high school. However my weight became a problem, and began straining my knees. While I was training for a half maraphon I injured my knees pretty badly. I spent several months trying resting them up, and trying to heal the tendinitis. During this time I gained 15 pounds, raising myself to forty pounds overweight. This is a problem that I know I must fix before it becomes bigger.
My knees are better now, and I've started running again, however I need to loose weight so it doesn't put extra stress on my weak knees, and so I feel better about myself.
Along with running, I enjoy painting, all forms of art (music, drama, etc.). I'm a social activist and I have a heart for people and a heart for the unseen hurts of Africa.
I hopeing that this community will help provide accountability, inspiration and motivation for me!
