How to stop sabotaging yourself in the evenings?

Do you know that moment in the evening when a little voice says: you're so hungry..go look what's in the fridge... this couldn't hurt!!!
These are the type of thoughts that ruin my whole day's diet ( not always, but enough to make me very upset with myself). And then you eat that forbidden thing, and feel horrible and guilty after.
Basically, I would like to know, what do you guys say to yourselves when these thoughts take over? How do you stop from sabotaging your whole day's success???
btw, I'm new here. 29,F, 166lbs.
Thanks.

Hi, welcome
I also like to eat at night after dinner. To keep me from overeating I have worked it into my diet. I eat less at dinner than I used to so I usually have 150 to 250 calories that I can still have. I keep several healthy things around that I can have. I have always been a nighttime snacker and it was always one of my downfalls. Some times I have some crackers and cheese or fruit, 50 cal hot, chocolate, nuts, sugarfree pudding, 1/2 bagel with peanutbutter. These are just some of the types of things I eat at night.
Hope this helps

i'm limiting my calories but i'm not keeping track of what i'm eating. i know it's low esspecially compared to what i used to eat. since i started taking these VPX MELTDOWN pills (2 in the morning) my focus and sex drive are way up...i'm sweating 10 times more during everything but especially cardio. and the best part is that i'm not craving anything. i've been able to say no to everything bad anyone has shoved in my face...and i don't even want soda in my line of sight.... it's been crazy so far. i'll say that i do think some of it is mental because i want this change so bad. but i'll give the pills some credit also. i haven't eaten after 8 in a week...

I eat, lol.

Why not?

Eating at night doesn't make you fat if calories are in check for the day.

If you're ravishingly hungry at night, I'd look at how much you're eating throughout the day as well as the quality of what you're eating.
