How To Lose "Man Boobs"

getting rid of man boobs with exercise and pills

hey all
i am 15 years old and am pretty fat for my age, I have man boobs and weigh around 190-200 lbs. ive been like this since around 6th grade, not teh 190-200 lbs though. I have been having this for quite a long time, and i really want to get rid of it.

I have been controlling my meals, but not exercising. It hasnt really shown up. I think that if it was gynecomastia, it would have gone away by now

right now my options are
surgery- to get rid of fat easily
fat burning pills/good diet/exercise

i really want to burn off these fat and man boobs quickly, as i really dont want to remain like this
my friend recommended Zantrex 3 and a good steady workout every day. Also, a good diet

he is 18, so i dont know if i can trust him. i am going to ask here, and to my doctor, what i should do

please give me some suggestions to burn fat or direct me in teh way of Fat burning supplements. i dont want anything harmful, as i hear heart attacks, and death are caused by some of these products. something safe

i think it may be my metabolism as well, i never seem to burn any fat

thank you

You're way too young to be on any weight loss supplements. It takes time to gain weight, it's going to take time to lose weight, plus the quicker you lose it, it puts your body into shock and have a MUCH greater chance of gaining it back (and then some) if you don't keep up with it.

Hey Everyone,

I have always had small "Man Boobs" but they have gotten worse over the past year.

I used to do a fair bit of trail motorbike riding, which works the chest and arms, but I have stopped that and put on 15kgs....which I think is about 30lb in about 1.5 years.

I have decided to get back into a fitness schedule. I was wondering what exercise I should ephmasize on to get rid of the man boobs and stomach.

I am 25, 6'1" and wiegh 104kg/230lb. I am a VERY fussy eater, so my biggest problem is going to be diet. Exercise I can find time and push myself with, but in the past I have lost no weight as I could not change my diet too aggressivly.

I plan to work out my "whole" body at the gym/home with emphasis on man boobs and stomach,

Any tips would be great.

Cheers
Chris

like newbridge said u cannot reduce fat off a particular part of ur body, body fat is a whole % throughout, it concentrates on different areas usually for different reasons but dont worry about that for now

if you can really push yourself as u claim then go for intense anaerobic workouts, every1 seems to love aerobic workouts and claims how good they are but they are easy and that is why they are popular

take ur time getting back into your workouts but after a period of tiem certainly look towards anaerobic workouts as opposed to coasting an aerobic workout

now while working certain areas of the body will not reduce the fat there it will help tighten everything back up as you condition your muscles, so it can be beneficial from an asthetic point of view

im a majorly fussy eater too so i totally know where ur comming from, my suggestion is not to change ur whole diet, just slowly add things in, depending what ur eating add a few vegetables in there and eat them with ur meal so u hardly notice they are there

i started by adding broccoli to my roast meals and eating it with other things i didnt have to taste it

yeah wouldn't bench press work ?

It sure wouldn't hurt, but I tend to agree with newbride02. You can't really lose weight in one area. I would suggest some good ol' fashioned cardio. Running, jogging, walking, swimming... etc

It may take awhile, but good things come to those who wait

Just wondering (have man-mams too) but can't you spot reduce using thermal pads of some sort? I seem to remember hearing that somewhere. You can buy them specially.

thats not possible im afraid m8, u can tone up and tighten up but you cannot spot reduce at all

I've also had an ongoing struggle with this issue.
I created a blog to track my progress, check it out here for information on how I managed to get rid of my "man boobs":

KevinJ - I unfortunately checked out your blog and its just a referrer for a dodgy looking commercial site isn't it? Just one blog entry with a link to the rip-off site - oh via clickbank, a commercial 'referral' service! I was hoping for some genuine advice, and I was disappointed.

Getting back to the real topic, I have had moobs since I was a kid. I put on excess bodyfat on the chest and on the stomach. Since losing some 48 pounds, I have greatly improved the problem. However, although I am at my perfect BMI, and perhaps looking a little gaunt in the face, and wearing small size jeans etc, I still have a bit of a wobble on my chest and stomach. Its the place that my body likes to store the extra fat, and its the last sticky-to lose residual fat.

After losing the weight, I decided to try and increase muscle mass, so I started strength training - and eating lots of lean protein, veggies, good fats etc. After three months, I am quite pleased with the progress that I have made on my chest - lots of bench presses, and I have grown 'pecs'. However, they don't solve the moob problem, not yet anyway. In some ways, they almost seem to enhance the problem!

So what causes it? Excess body fat, excess skin, undevelopment of the pecs, diary products, soya, genes, or a combination of some of the above? I still suspect that its too much body fat. I also have a loose flabby stomach (even though I'm into size 30 (US=10) jeans - I still have that little hangover) as well. Despite losing all that weight, do I still need to lose more? Or would cutting further simply make me underweight?

I'm going to carry on with the strength training programme for a few months or more. Then I'm maybe going to cut calories again (I'm presently eating excess calories for muscle growth) and increase cardio for a few months or so - see if I can eliminate the problem. If I fail, well, maybe I'm going against nature. I'm 44 years old, and had years of beer guzzling self-abuse, maybe its genetical, and maybe I should settle for all of my achievements so far - greatly enhanced fitness .... but not yet.

How to LOSE MAN BOOBS!!!!!

I hate man boobs.... they are in me!!!!!

I wanna lose them... SERIOUSLY :(

tell me what kind of exercises are there to lose the target...

as the target, i mean my man boobs :(

tell me the best way!!! please, they are evil to me and i feel like a lady!!!

makes me look unattractive as well!!!!! :(

Yep

There is no such thing as targeting certain areas of your body to reduce. Overall fat loss is the only way.

sirant

There are exercises however that will help build up your chest muscles which will ultimately help burn off more fat and help you loose your man boobs.

Try chest presses or flys. (you can google them to get how to's)

*Remember to exercise all of your muscles, the more muscle you build the more fat your burn.*

Yes, there are movements you can do to strengthen all muscles, however fat loss is in caloric deficit and all the pec flys in the world will not change that.

I know you know that Katie, just wanted to make sure the OP didn't take that and run with it the wrong way:)

You're problem might also be hormones related, There are currently no "official reason" for man boobs, but a lot of cases demonstrate that it is often related to hormones imbalance. I would recommend you seek your doctors advice.

As for exercises to get rid of them, i would recommend cardio, bench press and push-ups. These will probably not remove your man boobs completely, but it's a step in the right direction.

Just my 2 cents

Derek.

Troll.
ugh, another newb poster pushing that cheesy commercial site.... and resurrecting a long-dead thread.
