How to do dumbbell deadlift?

I've just added a dumbbell deadlift to my routine but i'm not sure how to perform it correctly..

Do i keep straight legs and just bend over as far as possible or do i bend at the knees so the weights go right to the floor?

If it helps... i'm mainly looking to strengthen my lower back...

lol i know wat y mean john,i was wondering the same thing cuz it looks weird for my back.Thats why i wanted to find another workout to replace it lol.

how does it look weird for your back? that video shows proper deadlift form, but with dumbbells instead of a barbell.

the lower back MUST remain arched to reduce risk of a lower back injury.

this is for a bar-bell deadlift; but if you read it it'll still give you the ideas of what you are trying to do with the lift.

stiff legged deadlifts are basically RDLs; and they have a different focus for the lift.

always remember to push through your feet, probably the biggest thing anyone can tell you.

due to the relative height of dumbbells, if possible get something to come down on infront of you (small platform); but that isn't hugely important by any means.

whenever possible I'd recommend barbell to be honest; it's harder to get proper tension on hams/gluts with dumbbells (at least in my experience). I also seem to end up in the "lower" part of the motion (more bent knee/quad time) with dumbbells. This may be due to elevation in the movement but I do make efforts to limit that.
