just a random question i guess i think im starting to become obsessed i go to the gym 6 days a week for like 45mins to an hour
but also i work outdoors everyday for a few hours i never seem to be still not sure if its a good thing or not. so yeah xx

I always believe you can have too much of a good thing.
Try trading off your more strenuous activities for something like a 30-40 min walk every other day. You will be working some cal off and still feel good. But you will be giving your body a rest.

Exercise Daily...

Actually we should do exercise daily...because daily exercise is the best way to tone up muscles. We can do exercise to reduce weight also. Everyone in this world want to look better & handsome. But the hard work is needed to achieve this.
Exercise means not necessary spending hours in gym & workout hard; but a decent little exercise can help a lot. So try to give time to your body & mind to keep it fresh. Try Exercise daily...

For me, it depends on the intensity of my workouts. When I was 220, I could only walk a few miles (back in August of this year). Now that I am about 177, I can run several miles, and I log about 6-7 miles including my warm up and cool down walking, running about 5. If I do this 4 days in a row, I take 2 days off. It seems to work for me. When I was training for sports, we trained 6 days/ week, and that was the best shape of my life. I think you have to see what you are comfortable with. If you are dragging yourself to the gym after 5 days straight, may be time for a break....

Isn't the recommended amount something like 30 mins of some form of activity that raises your heart rate, everyday? I simply cycle to work and job done hehe. Find it so hard to squeeze exercise into my day at the mo..but that's a good way of doing it.

For just like, some "mild" cardio that isn't tearing you down, you can do it every day all you want. I mean... people have jobs that are hard physical stuff and they don't drop dead right and left :)

For like, building muscle and strength and the more exercise-exercise sort of stuff where you really pound your body till it runs dry, you should have at minimum one rest day per week, where you do no hard work what so ever. I mean you can walk around and do ordinary stuff but just, a real rest day is needed.

And yeah, the recommendations is, atm, 30 minutes of heart raising activity per day minimum.

Me - 2 to 3 times a week. 2 times if I'm cutting back on calories 3 or more if I'm trying to gain muscle.

Now, that doesn't count physical activity at home or being 'active' - but actual gym time.

Not saying that more wouldn't be better, but 2 times a week seems to be a minimum to get results for me.
