I've been yo-yo dieting for ages now and just want a little advice. I recently tried (I say tried, but it only lasted about a day or two) a high protein diet but I just know that I'm not going to be able to stick to it because, number 1, I love carbs (especially potatoes) and, number 2, I find it difficult to eat about 5 or 6 meals a day.
Am I right in thinking that, with a high protein diet, you have to eat regularly otherwise your body will store the fat that you are eating? If this is right, is it the same for low calorie diets? I usually eat a bowl of Readybrek (porridge) for breakfast, then for lunch I eat a ham salad with a bit of coleslaw on the side and in the evening I will usually have oven chips and chicken (or some kind of grilled meat).
I think I'm best to stick with a low calorie diet because I find this easiet, but should I be eating more regularly than just three meals a day?
And, finally, I know a lot of bodybuilders (if not all of them) go on high protein diets because they get much better muscle definition. If I'm on a low calorie diet, will I still be able to get good muscle definition?
Sorry if I sound stupid, but I want to diet properly this time so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
