How many calories

Everyone is different. I am about your size and I maintain on 2000 while others maintain on 1400. Online calorie counters don't work for me. I would starve to death if I ate the number of cals they say I shoudl eat.

How many are you eating now? Are you gaining, losing or maintaining now? If you are not sure what you are eating now. I would keep track for a few days. And based on whether you are gaining, losing or maintaining now I would adjust it. Hope that helps.

I checked out the way to look up how many calories i need and it was too complicated. I am too lazy to figure all that out.

I basically gain weight when i eat cereal. I do not know if it is cereal in general or if i eat too much when i eat it. Currently i am eating around 1600 a day but am always hungry. I will write down everything i am eating and weigh myself every day to see if i gain at all as i raise the calories. I love to eat and want to eat more!
 
thats simple then. keep track of how many calories you're eating. if your weight stays the same, there you go.

only weight yourself once a week. your weight does go up and down each day.

your activity level will be important also. :)
 
Just curious as to how to work out how many calories there are in say a piece of meat, a potato, tomato, etc. I read stuff on calories and it says that for every gram of protein there are 4 calories, for every gram of carb there are 4 calories, fat is 9 and alcohol is 9.

So from that, how do I work it out? There must be an easy way, I just don't know it yet haha. :confused:
