how long does it usually take for people to see results?

I know there isnt a set time for seeing results but I just want to know from some of you guys how long it took to see some improvemnts.
 
see like in body composition, size, etc? Or do you mean strenght wise?
you should be able to lift more weight pretty soon. As a newbie there is usually progress every week, if you're on a good program and eat reasonably well (I say reasonably, because you don't have to be a friggin master of diet to get some results when you're a newbie)
As far as how fast you will see changes in your body, it all comes down to diet..
 
It depends on many factors. If you have never done much serious exercise before, then you may seem some results pretty quickly. When I first started weight training I saw dramatic changes in my body within the first few weeks. Now, after doing it for over a year, it takes longer to see any measurable changes. But, in general, it takes time to make any serious changes in your body. Fitness is a long term commitment.
 
to toss out a very general guideline, 6-8 weeks is when you should be able to see changes in a mirror, but that's assuming the individual in question isn't extremely overweight.
if you figured 2 lbs of fat lost a week, that'd be more noticable in 6 weeks on someone who's trying to shed 40lbs of body fat, vs someone shedding 140lbs.

physically speaking, both individuals would feel better after 6 weeks of eating better and exercising regularly.
 
Well, i have been doing a my own version of a FBW for about a month now and so far i have noticed increase in strength, afterwards i started noticing that muscles were firm and harder than they were before, etc. As for size i haven't seen any real size improvements, though it does feel like i've gained some lean muscle.
 
Yes visible results mainly and im kinda skinny but not the twigish kind and I've been bulking for about 3 weeks havent noticed any changes though. Eat about 2-3000 calories a day.
 
2000-3000 is a very broad calorie summary. 2100 calories between 3000 calories can make a big difference weather your body has enough to actually gain weight and make muscle

have you seen any change on the scale at all? If you haven't gained any weight in 3 weeks then it seems to me you need to raise the calories your eating, or re define your workout.
But I think it has to do with your diet...
 
You can't definitively answer that question. It can depend on many things, such as how hard you are training, how good is your diet, are lifting correctly, doing the right exercises, allowing enough recovery time etc. It's up to you, to decide how long it will be before you see results.
 
Plus do you lift heavy/low rep weight? Are you eating regular smaller meals aswel, if your eating 2-3 large meals a day this is not the way to do it as after too long without eating you body burns off muscle rather than fat.

Im not exactly the most experienced, after only training properly about 7 months but iv realised it takes time & patience :)

this is kinda off topic but have anyone noticed how the lighting can make you look different for me when its darker I look better when i take a picture.
 
yeah, it's got everything to do with shadows man :p Generally, you don't want the light head on, then there are no shadows formed by the muscles.

The body does not suddenly go into canibilizing itself suddenly if you miss a meal. I could eat cottage cheese for every meal and only eat 3 meals a day and have protein digesting 24 hours a day. Protein by itself can take 4 or more hours just by itself to digest and then there's still amino acids happily floating around, combine that with fats, carbs, and fiber and you've got a long digesting thing going on.
 
to the calories question id say about 2500 most of the time but it's really hard for me to calculate how much I eat since I dont eat half the things i eat the previous day.
