How does it feel to reach your goal?

I am 13 pounds away from my goal; actually I would like to be 125 but for now my first goal is 130.

I was wondering for those of you who have reached your goal I would like to know how does it feel to reach your goal. I am thrilled at the way I look; I used to wear a size 14 and now for the first time in my life I am wearing a size 6. I have never felt so good. My goal is to be my goal weight before the end of this year so that I for the first time welcome the new year and make a resoultion not to loose weight this time but to maintain this weight and a wonderful lifestyle for years to come.

I would love to hear from those who have reached their goal or almost near to the goal as to how does it feel to get there.

My final weightloss target? Well, I felt pretty great that I was down to jean size 30 (US=10). I felt great that I could run cross country for miles and miles. I felt great to be able to belong to a gym, and to shop for clothes in sports shops. I felt great not to be 'the big man' anymore. I felt great not to have suffered from indigestion problems for months. I felt great to look in the mirror and see bone structure in my face rather than a double chin. I felt proud to have learnt how to eat sensibly, how to turn down offers of bad food. I felt proud that I had learnt how to select healthy food.

But it wasn't all over at all. I read a story about a man who changed himself from being obese and unfit, to becoming a body builder. He set one target at a time. Each time that he achieved a goal, he set another. No, I don't have plans to become Mr Universe - I've had 44 years of self-abuse, and I haven't inherited a lot of genetical muscle mass, but I do want to become fitter, stronger, and to carry on transforming myself.

Maybe some people who succeed at weightloss become addicted to that self control habit that they have to force on themselves, and just want more and more.
