How do you reward yourself ?

Hi I'm interested to know how you reward yourself when you've had a good week/month of dieting

I'm only asking because I'm doing it all wrong I keep promising myself a takeaway or alcohol or generally both if I've had a good week ! I know in my head it's counter productive but just can't seem to stop myself doing it !!!!!

Anyway any suggestions ??

For me I just have a takeaway, well chippy.

Just make sure it's not more than once a week, best if you could make it every 2-3 weeks. I have cut alcohol out completely, but then I used to have abit of a drink problem so wouldn't be wise for me to have one as a treat, as I'd be back on it and all the hard work I have done would of been for nothing.

Yes trying really hard not to have a takeaway to often, trouble is as I say I've got myself into the mindset that I've earned it !!
And the worst thing is when I do have one I feel really awful and guilty and I've ruined all the good work I've done!! Crazy really
Anyway all the best to you and thanks for answering

Hmmm... I don't reward myself with food.

What I do is set up both short term and long term goals. Then I add short term and long term rewards to them.
For example:
Once I hit 140lbs I am getting new clothes
At 120lbs my husband and I will be going on a cruise

Those are my long term goals and rewards (besides the reward of being healthier and more confident).

My short terms are more of an every week type deal.
I usually go out and do something I've been wanting to. It could be getting a $3 fashion bracelet I saw, or it could be tasting a new batch of gourmet tea leaves that I heard about from a tea store. When I donate to people in need, that really makes me feel rewarded. Having a nice picnic in the park while tossing seeds to birds is good too.

Sometimes having a day that is completely full of relaxation is the best reward. No worries, no errands, nothing to do, no one to call or visit, nothing to cook, no work scheduled, (you could consider turning off all electronic devices too)...just peace and quiet. ^_^

That sounds like the ultimate reward Emerald! I'm trying to come up with rewards for myself that won't include food. Seems like right now, that is a reward system for me. Not in my weight battle, but in just life in general.
