How do you put a link to your diary in your signature?

I have seen some people with a link to their weightloss diary in their signature and it says "My Diary" or something like that, and you can click it and get to their diary. Can someone tell me how to do this? I haven't been able to figure it out. Sometimes I'm a little slow, lol. :)
 
I'll be happy to help, though this isn't the correct subforum to ask it in....

Go to User CP in the upper left hand corner.
On the left hand side will be a box with an assortment of tools; click "edit signature".
In another window, go to your diary thread on the page you want it to link to. Copy the URL in the address bar (at the top of the screen; the one that says http).
Now, back to the "edit signature" thing. In the box provided, click on the link icon (the world with paperclip things on it)
Paste in the URL you just copied.
Press okay.
Type in the name you want it to say (My Diary or whatever).

Ok, so I am still confused. I clicked the insert link icon (the world with the paperclip) and pasted the url of my diary there. Then I pressed okay. But where do you type "My Weightloss Diary" (or whatever you want the link to be called)? It keeps saying my signature is too long. I have a weightloss ticker in my signature also, but I've seen people with the link to their diary and a weightloss ticker, so I must still be doing something wrong.
 
It will look like this, only the )'s should be ]'s.

(URL="YOURLINKHERE")YOURLINKHERE(/URL)

The "YOURLINKHERE" that is in bold text is where you type in what you want the link to say. Just delete whatever link is in THAT area ONLY, and then type in "My Diary" or something.
