how can i help her

hey these fourms really help me ive change mentally and now seeing resulta but no wit my moms turn she not fat but shes chubby but she doesnt mind what really drives her crazy is her arms cuase there reall big and mostly fat and she asks me to tell her what to do to lose the fat but i myself have the same problem i have big arms but mines are mostly muscle so what should i tell her

In order for you mother to tighten up her arms she is going to have to try to eat healthy and exercise for fat loss.

This forum has a wealth of information on those subjects.

ok so evrey time i ask somehing like this i always hear the same thing but noone has yet to tell me what she should stay away from and what she should eat

aevens emphasized the fact that there is a wealth of info on this website.. Everytime you ask this you hear the same response.. is the same for us when we see the question its the same as the other 3000 and we must state the samething everytime.

If your mother is asking you for advice.. I would highly recommend her to see a nutritionist. Here is a short list of bad versus good foods

Bad: Fast food, pop/soda, candy, snacks.. pretty self explanatory

Good: lean red meats, chicken(not KFC), veggies, fish, FISH(tuna mm), eggwhites(protein), sweet potato and brown rice(good carbs) fruits, olive oil(good fat, but don't kill the oil thinking its good.)

A sufficient amount of carbs, fat, and protein is nec. for her. Must eat fat to lose fat.. but healthy good fat/carbs. If she is serious tell her to go onto and track her caloric intake.

For future questions- saying your mom is not fat, but chubby gives us nothing to start with at all. Age, weight, height, her diet now... her activities now are essential for a good response. We know she's a mom and a female. Thats for diet... she needs to get active.. start walking. She needs to know diet is 80-85% of he success.. but exercise is ESSENTIAL for it to work together right. Hope this helped.

More info is definitely needed. She should get on this forum and search through the posts. She'll undoubtedly find answers and ideas. She can also ask questions that she has. Here are 5 tips that I regularly post in this forum:

1) Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day. Each meal should be 2-3 hours apart. Each meal should contain one protein and one carb. The first meal should be eaten within an hour after waking.

2) Drink a cup of water at each meal.

3) Rest properly. This means taking at least 48 hours between strength training the same muscles, and it also means getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night. Lastly, it means taking 1-2 days off from exercising per week.

4) Cardio. This should be done at different intensity levels and different session lengths. Consider doing a low intensity/long session, a high intensity/short session and a few medium intensity/medium length sessions.

5) Strength Training. Strength train each muscle 1-3 times per week. You should lift a proper weight and perform the proper amount of sets/reps for your strength training method. If you need more guidance or exercise ideas you can head over

All of the above things combined will result in fat loss.

because we answer that question every day. all you need to do is use the Search button, or browse through the nutrition forums for men and women.

Men and women should eat exactly the same way...the only difference is women need fewer calories.

Men and women should train exactly the same way...the only difference is women 'usually' are not able to lift as much weight...they should still train hard and heavy and in the same rep ranges as men, same frequency.

The mods are also working on some stickies, so check the top of each forum section for those stickies to help get you started.
