HOT for my Honeymoon!!

Hi Lisa,

It's so good to be reading your diary again! I got caught up on it yesterday, you're doing really great, your weekend sounded great actually, dispite the snacking you worked your butt off, I feel like I struggle to convince myself to workout the most over the weekend and you kicked butt! Its great that you are being motivation for your friend to join the gym, I love when you get the chance to share your health knowlege with others, it shows how far you've come. Your cruise sounds amazing, you and hubby are going to have such an amazing time! Your workout for tonight sounds great, from my few experiences with yoga, I got a lot more sweaty then I planned! I hope you like it because I hear its great to do when you're pregnant so it would be cool to still workout when you are getting your family started. I hope your tummy feels better throughout the day. Your eating was great yesterday, keep it up!

Great day yesterday with eating! It looks like you stayed under on your calories so I think it's okay that you skipped the workout.
Have a good day!
Thanks Sarah - that has been a focus on mine lately - if I don't get the workout in I don't get extra snacks in the evening!

Thanks Janvier, it's great to have you back too! I love working out on the weekend because I really don't have much else to do. I really enjoy the feeling of working out so it's fun for me and it makes it a lot easier to actually do it!

Wooooo, congrats on all the hard work, keep it up! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

You are doing awesome Lisa!!! Keep it up.
Thanks Veronique!

Ok so yesterday was a great day however it didn't go as planned and that usually throws me off to have a bad day but I didn't let my emotions take over! Here's how it looked:
B - 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/2 cup sliced strawberries, 1/3 cup all bran buds, 1 ff activia yogurt
L - veggie salad - lettuce, shredded carrot, black olives & tomato w ff tomato & oregano dressing
Had 40 min to go home and get ready for yoga and when I got home I got into it with hubby - he is off for the winter and sometimes when I come home and things aren't done it really drives me crazy - well yesterday the walkways and drive way weren't shovelled when I got home and there was no reason except him being lazy all day so I got upset. It took a little longer than 40 min for us to argue it out and make up so I missed yoga.
D - 1/2 cup brown beans baked in tomato sauce, 5 oz boneless porkchop baked with canned tomato
Exercise - 1 hr kettle bell circuit, 15 min treadmill - 1.3 miles, 735 cal burned.
Snacks - apple, 2 tbsp slivered almonds, 4 thin slices marble cheese

I turned down Tim Horton's donuts and cookies at our 10am coffee break and hubby made Kraft dinner around 10:30pm and it smelled so good and instead of having a bite I went to bed. I'm feeling good about my eating lately even though I'm not counting points or calories - I guess the scale will be the judge.
The stress of hubby not working and looking for a job is really starting to get to me. I'm hoping a long run after work tonight will help clear my head and make me in a better mood to go home. I hate being crabby to him and it ruins the night.

That's exactly what you need to relieve the stress. A LONG run! I know what you mean about being crabby and having it ruin the night. It's really a mental practice to let go of earlier or what happened, and to TAKE a breath and realize that it's over, and that there is no reason to allow for that one incident in our day to take away the whole day's happiness. Doesn't make sense. But like I said, it's a practice! I find myself doing it often. haha! Get your run, woman! Feel better, let it go and be the happy go lucky woman you are all the time! ;)

Changing the subject,..in regards to your food! I am now seeing how "seasoned a weight watchers woman you are" at the core of everything you do! I now understand the combinations of your foods, still have a lot to learn,...but WOW! You really have learned to automate certain meals, and have almost memorized the point system, regardless if you count right now or not. LIFETIME MEMBER you are! ;)

Your honeymoon sounds like it's going to be so much fun!! :jump: I can't wait to take a vacation! :drool5: We'll have to see what presents itself with time.. You are WORKING it woman! So proud of you!! KETTLE BALL QUEEN HERE!! :D!

Great job on making it to kettle bell class even if you missed yoga....Also Great job on keeping the snacking down and turning down many treats in one day...! I am not sure I could resist the donuts or cookies that takes a lot of will power!

Passing up a doughnut is HARD! mmm doughnuts my mouth is watering now.. keep it up and keep that goal in mind! Your honeymoon sounds AMAZING :) Just think of that bikini and keep working for it!!!

Thanks Alta - the workout really helped - I'm not sure I could be crabby after a long run so it really works.
I wish I could continue the weekday eating into the weekend - I'm so good during the week and the second the weekend hits I'm looking for sugar and carbs and alcohol. If only I could limit myself to one not so great day and keep Friday and Sunday as good as the rest I'd see results a look quicker. I know that one of these days I really will be a lifetime member - just need to get there and stick with it this time!

Thanks Veronique - it is taking a lot of willpower but I'm hoping the results are worth it!

Thanks Christen - even if I make it to my goal I will never wear a bikini - never have and I know I never ever will. Feeling comfortable in a one piece would be great though - lots of work still to get there!

Ok so yesterday was another great day! I have to admit it has been hard to not snack like I used to in the evenings but I'm pushing through it and the proud feeling I have going to bed not feeling full and bloated has been great! Really keeping me going. Here's how it looked:
B - 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/2 cup sliced strawberries, 1/3 cup all bran buds, 1 ff activia yogurt
L - 2 pieces whole wheat WW bread, 1 whole egg, 2 egg whites, 1 tbsp ketchup
Exercise - 70 min at gym - 730 cal burned. 5.8 run on treadmill & long stretch
D - steamed broccoli, baby potatos, 7-8 oz skinless, bone-in chicken breast baked with onions & slivered almonds.
Snack - 6 cal jello cup

Dinner was huge and I don't think hubby cooked it as healthy as he could have - a bit too much olive oil I think. It was delicious though and really kept me full till bed. I have also been drinking a lot of peppermint tea lately - first thing in the morning, during the day and usually before bed. I just can't get enough of it. I think it's also because it has been so cold lately and it warms me head to toe.

I forgot again to do the inital test for the push-ups program. Plus my shoulders were and are so sore from kettle bell on Tuesday. I'm looking forward to kettle bell tonight however every part of my body is in some sort of pain today -good pain though - like I've been working hard for it!

This weekend I'm already setting my mind up to have only one not so great day eating wise. I have no excuse not to eat right Friday and Sunday and if I keep going over it in my head it might actually stick.

If I could just learn how to QUOTE in those little boxes like you my life would be much easier!! HAHAH! ..Been on here 3 yrs. Still don't get it. Some of us need work. ;) haha!

BUT, moving on... I know exactly what you mean about weekends!! Up until 3 weeks ago, I had been doing the SAME thing! It was an EXIT from the weekday's work. What good it does though, right!? I realized it slows me down SO MUCH! When I was training for the marathon, my weekends were my GOLDEN days! I would make them the BEST! Long runs, great meals, and little to no drinking because I got to wake up and train! ...I can honestly say, that now,...I realize just like all humans are,..the MORE we have the LESS we appreciate the little things we have. Meaning, since before I would allow for the entire weekend to be a continuous splurge time, I didn't realize that I wasn't appreciating even the bad foods to the full extent, or the alchol for that matter. I mean, drink alcohol for the TASTE of it?! Just to sip on it and enjoy?! Come on! Not me. Before it was exit and reward myself continuously with "good time foods and drinks". But NOWWWW....that the WW points system is putting things into the line of awareness I realized that I could have ONE MEAL or ONE OUTING to be a splurge! The fact that I have limited it down to ONE, makes me APPRECIATE IT THAT MUCH MORE! I savor the thought of it, for the pure enjoying of allowing myself to indulge consciously and lightly. It's SO WEIRD, I tell you. The shift that clicked. I now carefully think of how I want that splurge to be on that day. Mind you,...I had my first splurge meal on Sunday brunch last week, and I can honestly say, that it was the champagne that I enjoyed more and the simple bubbles versus the loads of food. Hopefully, this splurge MEAL on the weekend, will be less because I am realizing how wonderful it feels to have less, so that you can MISS IT! We will all get it right one day! And then we won't another. It's ok. ;) .....talking about lifetime member...you've just reminded me that I want to go and see how much a pocket digital points counter costs, and weight watchers is right down the street! Can't wait! :beating: Make it a great weekend! SPLURGE MEAL! ;)

LOL about the quotes, Alta. :D
Open 2 windows, click quote, copy, paste in other window which will be your reply window of course. Keep doing for each person you want to quote. I think that is how it's done. It has been a while since I have tried it.

Lisa, don't say never about the bikini!!! You are still pretty young. You may change your mind someday, especially if you reach all of your goals. You never know what the future may bring so never say never. Um, unless you want to say something like "you never know what the future may bring." :D

@ Derrick and Alta -- to quote multiple people, go down to the bottom right hand corner where the orange quote box is - to the right of it is another button that looks like a piece of paper with a " sign and a plus sign... click that for each response that you want to quote and when you are finished, hit the orange "quote" button. All quotes will be entered into your reply to thread :D

Now onto you Lisa... you are doing so great this week! And that is awesome that you have been able to fight the nighttime snacking. You have inspired me to stay in tonight and do the same! I had too good of a day to let it all go to waste by drinking and snacking. I know I will wake up feeling good -- especially reading about how you feel so good not feeling full and bloated! Gotta love it :) Chat tomorrow!

Shows you what I know. :smilielol5: The story of my life really. I can figure stuff out, just not the most efficient way. :D

Thanks Sarah! :)

Lisa, try eating a low fat, low carb, mega protein meal with enormous amounts of fibrous veggies as your dinner around 6pm. Drink at least a liter of water with it. If that doesn't keep you full at night then I give up. LOL

I somewhat joke because these are the meals I have to eat nearly all week long, except near zero carbs and fat. At the same time, I have not been hungry at all. Quite the opposite. And my total daily calories are around 800 to 1000. You shouldn't do that at all but I can tell you when you try to cram 50 grams of protein into your gullet in one sitting, you are going to feel full for a while, especially when you add a lot of veggies. That meal is not going to put any fat on your body either, assuming you ate reasonable the rest of the day.

It took someone telling me step by step how to do it before I figured it out too!

Ok if I won the lottery and got plastic surgery I might put a bikini on! Otherwise I will NEVER wear a bikini. I wish I was brave enough to take pictures of the stretch marks on my tummy and the lose skin to show you it's not just all in my head but I'd rather die than post them on the internet.:svengo:

Thanks Sarah! It's been a little bit of a battle but so worth the good feeling after. Glad I could motivate you to stay away from the booze! I know you will feel great this morning as I do!

I don't think I would be able to work out after that amount of food in my belly! My problem isn't so much with feeling full - I hardly ever feel hungry when I'm night time snacking - it's more about being bored or just wanting to eat food because it's there. It's that unneccesary snacking I have a problem with - If I'm hungry it's justified.

Ok so yesterday was another great day!! I was really hoping to see 149 on the scale this morning but to my disappointment I was the same as last Friday. Not expecting a loss at WW now and don't even know if I want to bother going to the weigh-in - just for them to tell me I've stayed the same. Plus it's minus 40 Celcius outside this morning and on my 25 min drive to work my car didn't even warm up enough. I'm dreading going back out in it.
I took some measurements to see if that would make me feel any better and everything seemed pretty close to what they have been. I do feel tighter and more confident so I'm trying to focus on that and not let the scale discourage me. It's always so much more motivating seeing it going down - even if it's little by little. I have to stay positive and know that if I put in the effort next week and behave over the weekend I am bound to see results.
Here's how yesterday looked:
B - 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/2 cup sliced strawberries, 1/3 cup all bran buds, 1 ff activia yogurt, peppermint tea
L - big veggie salad - lettuce, shredded carrot, green onion, yellow pepper, tomato and ff tomato, oregano dressing, peppermint tea
D - big bowl of stirfry - 4 oz chicken breast, baby corn, shredded carrot, celery, onion, peppers, water chestnuts, chicken broth, seasonings & olive oil.
Exercise - 20 min light walking treadmill - incline 6.5, 1 hr kettle bell circuit, stretch. 88 min total workout - 740 cal burned.
Snack - apple, 3 slices marble cheese, peppermint tea
Hubby made popcorn and it smelled so good but he put so much butter on salt on it I decided to pass.

We don't have much planned for tonight but I think I'm going to take a day off from the gym. I feel like I worked my body pretty hard the last three days and need a rest. Also Saturday I have a big workout planned. They are offering all the gym's classes for 30 min demo's for 3 hours straight. It starts at 11 and goes till 2 and I've picked out 6 classes to try. Some of them I have done before but some are new. The schedule I did up looks like this:
30 min warm-up, stretch and core class
30 min step class
30 min BOSU class
30 min cycle class
30 min kettle bell class
30 min cool down, stretch and core class
I can't wait to see how many calories I burn on my HRM! I think I will have earned a couple drinks for Saturday night which will be my cheat night because it's a friend's 30th birthday party.
Sunday I plan to be very healthy and hopefully get on the treadmill at least.
I'll update you all Monday. Have a healthy weekend everyone!

WOW! based on what I have seen on my HR monitor you should burn about 400-500 calories during each session! Thats a whole pound you will lose in 3 hours if it turns out to be the case.. Good luck, that sounds super hard! Can't wait to hear about it :) Have a great weekend!

Don't worry too much about the scales not moving--They'll catch up! Have a great day pretty xxxx
Thanks Sunflower!

I never burn nearly as many cals as you do. The highest my heart rate got up to during a class was 180 but normally it's around 165 for intense exercise and 130's for moderate. I'm assuming I might burn between 200 - 300 cal per 30 min session. We shall see though!!

I sucked it up and went to my weigh-in and to my surprise I was down 0.8 pounds! It wasn't quiet the pound I was looking for but better than staying the same! Next week I'm hoping for at least 0.9 loss to officially be back in the 140's!!!
Here where my measurements from today too. I meant to include them up top but forgot:
Chest - 35"
Natural Waist - 29 1/2"
At belly button - 34 1/2"
Hips - 38 1/2"

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!:cheers2:

Seeing your list of classes makes me want to join a gym! I have one in my apartment (both new and old) so it's hard to want to spend money elsewhere. But my job will pay for a big part of it and then I'd get to do fun classes like that! Can't wait to hear about them. And good job going to weigh-in, it's probably never good to assume the worst and skip hearing the truth, haha.

Girl! Those classes sound amazing!! :) You are going to RIP right through them all! Great job on planning for it!

Have a great weekend!! Let's watch our drinks this weekend! Both of us! ;)! xoxo

:

Where do you take your chest measurement? I have heard of some women doing it below the boob like where you would size for your bra band fitting and others around the fullest part of their boob.. just wondering!

Hi Lisa!
It's great to catch up on your diary, your food choices are fantastic - and well done on passing on the 'Kraft Dinner'.
I love the look of your classes too, you are so active it's outrageous!

I'm sure you'll be back in the 140's next week, you're doing so much it seems impossible that you won't :)

Hope your hubby finds work soon to save your sanity lol. I can relate to that, mine is not working right now either and it can get a bit too much being around each other 24/7.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend :waving:
