HOT for my Honeymoon!!

Thanks Sarah! As long as hubby is away the weekends are nice and quiet AND HEALTHY!
 So pumped! I finally, finally had a good weigh-in!!! I was down 4.6 pounds!!! Down to 151.8!! I can see the 140's - soo close!! Next week even maybe! Today is a good day!

Congrats Lisa :D!!
Good job being so disciplined this week. It really does help being more organised. I go on vacation from monday. I will take a page out of your book. You're doing so great soon you will be in the 140's no doubt!!

Just wanted to say Hi. I've looked at your pictures What a beautiful bride and you've done such a great job at losing your weight. Keep riding that high! Congrats on your weight loss!
Lynn
Thanks Lynn - that means so much! I think we are on the Capulet's team together. I'll have to see if you have a journal and check it out! Thanks for stopping by.

Congrats Lisa :D!!

Being organized and having a plan really helps! Also just staying consistent keeps the cravings away. Have a good time on vacation!

Wednesday was a great day! I felt so good after my weigh-in yesterday. Really feeling like I can still make my goal for the cruise and I’m ready to keep working hard for it. Last week’s calories averaged 1400 almost exactly. I keep them lower during the week and on the weekends I allow some indulgences. I’ve been really noticing the difference in my energy lately and I feel like I could work out forever at the gym. When I get home I don’t feel like I need to crash on the couch and in the morning I get up when the alarm goes off and shower instead of hitting snooze till I have to run out the door. Here’s how yesterday looked:
B – skipped (was in meetings all morning and it wasn’t appropriate to bring my breakfast in)
L – spring mix, peppers, cucumbers, carrots, green onions, green olives, 1 tbps flaxseeds, tomatoes, snap peas ff blueberry & pomegranate vinaigrette, 1 can tuna drained in water Total 375
Exercise – 35 min treadmill – 3.2 miles, 390 cal; 20 min spin bike interval course – 7 miles, 250 cal; vertical row, vertical bench, shoulders, biceps, back, outer thigh, stretch
D – same salad as lunch with 4 oz chicken breast and ff roasted sweet pepper & garlic dressing Total 455
Dessert – sugar free butterscotch pudding cup 60
Snack – ff activia yogurt, 1/3 cup all bran buds, 1 cup berries Total 250 (my breakfast I never got a chance to eat in the morning)
Second Dessert - sugar free butterscotch pudding cup 60
Total Calories – 1200

I’m aiming for a good weigh-in again next Wednesday. Hubby thinks he will be gone another week but any day he could hear different and come home sooner. I really miss him but I also know it’s what’s keeping me so in line lately. I’d also like to drop a few more pounds before he comes back so maybe he will notice the loss.
I fit back into one of my size 8 jeans today! Super pumped about it. They are a little snug but I figure they will bag out some by the end of the day.
Not sure if I mentioned it or not but my sisters decided to book a trip home for New Years. They are both doing the isagenix cleanse and so far have lost quite a bit of weight. We were about the same weight starting out so I’m hoping to lose a bit more before they come home too. The friendly competition has me really motivated. I really want to show them that they could do it on their own without paying $350 for shakes for a month.
Anyway I’m so excited the weeks are just flying by and it’s only 94 sleeps now till the cruise!!

OMG a co-worker just came by and put a huge tray of Christmas baking on my desk! I asked her to put it in the office room and she said more people come by my desk. This is really going to test my will power!

WOW great loss Lisa, well done.

That's so tough with the baking. We have that kind of thing at work alot, and I have to just not eat any of it. It feels bad though (ie when someones gone to so much trouble). My other strategy is to take one 'for later' and then when people say 'aren't you having one' you can way 'oh I've got one, I'm saving it for my break/dessert etc'. That seems to work out for me?

good luck

anna

Holy Dooley CG! 4.6 is FANTASTIC!!! :hurray::hurray:

Well done! You must be chuffed - just remember that feeling until all the Christmas treaties are off your desk!

What an awesome result :)

Thanks Anna! I did just that! Except when no one was looking I threw my piece in the garbage! I know that's bad but it looked better there then on my hips. I also moved the tray this morning to a more open spot in the office. I don't think anyone will mention it.

Thanks Jess - it felt so good! I'm super motivated I didn't even try a bite!

Well Thursday was an alright day. I took the day off the gym because it was a snow storm and the roads were too slippery to drive back in for kettle bell. I could have done the treadmill or even used my kettle bell at home but I decided to give my body a break. Here’s how the eating looked:
B - ff activia yogurt, 1/3 cup all bran buds, 1 cup berries Total 250
Snack – pomegranate white tea
L – One of the departments took us out to Kelsey’s for a xmas luncheon. I ordered the same salad as Tuesday’s lunch – Sonoma Valley Chicken Salad Total 250 (everyone else had aps & dessert and I passed on it all)
Snack – pomegranate white tea
D – 4 oz left over chicken breast, 2 corn on the cob with light margarine Total 455
Snack – sugar free jello cup 5, pear 100
Total Calories – 1360
I went to bed pretty early to stop myself from snacking further.
Tonight a friend of mine is having a party and I can’t decide if I should have a couple drinks and spend the night or decided ahead of time to be good and drive home. I’ve been on such a roll I don’t want to derail my efforts but I also haven’t really done much since hubby’s been gone and I feel like I could really let loose. Either way I’m going to the gym after work to get a good workout in first. Lots of water today too. The rest of the weekend is open so I plan to get good workouts in at the gym both days and relax some too. Have a great healthy weekend forum friends.

A couple of drinks is ok, don't beat yourself up over that! Especially if you choose the "healthier" drinks like vodka & soda or something. But every now and then you just have to let loose! Get your good workout in, eat decent, and have a great, healthy, active weekend!

I wouldn't beat myself up over a couple drinks but the drinks usually lead to lots of unhealthy eating! I didn't end up drinking this weekend anyway - I've decided to save it all for the holidays. I'll be really letting loose then!

Hey Lisa
I've got sore quads today which is pretty cool.

Nice work on the quads Anna! I'm feeling a little sore in my hip area today!

So hubby surprised me with a phone call Friday afternoon telling me he was on his way home. I was excited to see him but my plans for the weekend quickly changed. Instead of going to the gym after work on Friday I went shopping for a new shirt to wear out that night. Things sorta went downhill from there. When hubby got home he wasn’t feeling well and didn’t want to go to the party I had just finished getting all dressed up for. I had decided I was going to go by myself but then the guilt of leaving him at home set in and I went and changed into something comfy.
So Friday I didn’t exercise and ended the day around 1380 calories.
Saturday morning I woke up early and made it to Kettle bell for 9am! It was a great workout and I was so proud of myself for going. Went home and hubby was still in bed so I cleaned the house for a bit and then finally woke him up at noon. We headed to town and did some Christmas shopping. I picked out a heart rate monitor I want so hopefully he remembers! Eating was good during the day and then we decided to invite friends over for a poker game so we picked up nachos & salsa and some hummus. Oh and a veggie tray – I was still thinking healthy snacks at this point. Turned out only one of hubby’s friends came over so I decided not to drink. Got some major munchies and ended up going to the store for a chocolate feast – I had milk duds and Reece peanut butter cups. So even though I didn’t drink I still ended the day around 2800 calories.
Sunday I woke up early again for the gym and got right to it. I ran 6.3 miles in 65 minutes and burned approx. 760 calories. Almost all the chocolate calories I had the night before. After the gym I had to go help out at our work children’s xmas party. They had pizza and cake and movie theater popcorn and all I had was a banana. Went home and hubby had made pasta for dinner. I ended up snacking a bit in the evening on some peanuts he brought home from work and some more of the veggies left over with ranch dip. Ended the day at approx. 1800 calories so another high day.
Overall it wasn’t great but it could have been way worse. We spent over $250 at the liquor store because we stocked up for Christmas and I didn’t have a single drink all weekend! Two weeks no booze now! I have to be really good the next two days if I want to see a loss on Wednesday. I’m motivated so here I go!! Kettle bell again tonight!

So I finally tried some bran cereal... I opted for the "cereal" versus the buds, and with soy milk and a banana it is stinkin' good!! The soy milk adds flavor, so even without the banana it's still good. And hardly any calories! Thanks for the inspiration! :)

I think you did well CG! Well done for hitting the gym first thing the next morning too, that's so cool 760 calories! Hope your hubby's feeling better now.
A heart rate monitor is a great idea for Christmas :) I'd like to get one soon too, but am STILL saving for the kayaks lol. I put a deposit on hubby's one this week as a surprise for Chrissy for him (and yes I'll be sharing it until I get mine :) ).

Hey Lisa

Sounds like your weekend went pretty well on the whole. Well done for getting back to the gym. I;m sure you were tempted to stay in bed :)

anna

Congrats on managing to salvage the weekend. Just imagine how much worse it could have been if you hadn't controlled yourself at the children's party and not exercised. Good luck with your next weigh in.

Hey Laura glad you finally tried them! The fiber in them makes it all worth it for me!

Thanks Jess - and it's Lisa in case you were wondering. I'm excited to get the heart rate monitor to find out if 760 calories is close to what I'm actually burning or if it's more or less. I would love a kayak for Christmas so I think your husband will be thrilled!

Actually that's so funny that you wrote that because the reason I went was actually because I wanted to get out of bed! Having hubby back home after having the bed to myself for a few weeks was really hard to adjust to. Everytime I rolled over his face was right in mine and he was breathing on me and it was driving me crazy and I couldn't sleep anymore. Figured the workout would get off some steam and give me an excuse to get the hell out of there!

thanks Ecky! You are right too - I made some good choices and I should be really proud of those - everything helps. Crossing my fingers for my weigh-in tomorrow!

Well once again I started the week with a great start – a little low on calories but I think it evens out with the high weekend. Also we need groceries so my meals haven’t been as substantial as they could be. Hopefully we will get out tonight but hubby is still sick with the flu and this cold weather we have been getting just makes me want to stay inside and eat soup. Here’s how Monday ended up:
B- 1 cup blackberries, 1/3 cup all bran buds & 1 ff activia yogurt Total 220
L- 2 pieces SMART bread, 1 whole egg, 2 egg whites, 1 tbsp ketchup Total 225
Exercise – 1 hr kettle bell strength class – crazy 8’s workout – 8 exercises, 8 reps, 8 rounds – 5 ½ min to complete each round.
D – asian salad & ½ can Campbell’s cream of potato soup Total 400
Snacks – pear 100, 2 small pieces beef jerky 100
Total calories – 1045
Only 89 more sleeps till the cruise!! I’m not too excited for my weigh-in tomorrow because I’ve been the same weight all week on my scale at home. I’m hoping for a whoosh over night!
Oh one more thing I was super excited about yesterday – I went up to the 35lb kettle bell and I was the only girl in the class to use that heavy of a bell. I can only use it for two handed swings and the 24lb bell for one armed swings but I could totally tell the difference in my strength and it made me so proud of keeping it up! They cancelled the Thursday night classes during the holidays so if I want to go twice a week I have to go to the 9am Saturday classes – hopefully I make this happen! Feeling good about having a great weight-loss week!

Season finale of Biggest Loser tonight! I love seeing all the hard work the contestants did when they got home.
Now I can't decide if I want to go to the gym after work or just do the treadmill at home while watching the show.

Oh!! I can't wait myself...the finale always makes me feel to exercise immediately :D so treadmill might be a good option.

Yesterday was a great day! Emotionally I kind of feel like a wreck lately and have no clue why. Last night when I got home from work I was in a miserable mood and just sat on the couch without the tv on just starring into space and trying to calm myself down. I felt like I was going to snap and I’m not even sure why. I just hate this miserable feeling I have inside and I’m not sure how to change it. I found out Biggest Loser wasn’t coming on till 9pm and it would be too late to get into a workout at that time so I decided to have dinner and then leave for the gym. Here’s how the eating looked:
B- 1 cup blackberries, 1/3 cup all bran buds & 1 ff activia yogurt Total 220
L- 2 pieces SMART bread, 1 whole egg, 2 egg whites, 1 tbsp ketchup Total 225
Snack – 1 cup cherry tomatoes 30
D – 2 slices SMART bread, 1 can tuna drained in water, light cheese, light mayo, sweet pickles, toasted Total 410
Exercise – 25 min treadmill – 2.1 miles, 36 min spin bike – interval course 12 miles. Back, sides, outer thigh, stretch.
Snack – 4 mini mandarin oranges 100, veggies & ranch dip 160
Total calories – 1200
My average calories for the week were 1500. That is an increase of a 100 calories a day compared to last week – I’m blaming it on hubby being home :icon_bs: I only exercised 5 days this week compared to 6 last week. I’m not expecting a loss on the scale this week but I’ll be happy if I maintain my big loss from last week. I should be down based on my calculations on calories and the amount of exercising I’ve been doing – my body just takes some time to catch up and next week I should have a better loss. Not looking forward to stepping outside again today – it’s minus 35 with the wind chill (Celsius).:nopity:

151.4 so I lost .4 pounds this past week. It's really demotivating when you put in so much effort and frustrating to say the least.
On the positive - I didn't gain and I lost a little bit
On the negative - I was under on avg. calories for the week, I didn't have a drink of alcohol, I had 5 intense workouts - I should have been down at least a pound!
Oh well - here's hoping the scale is nice to me next week - I really want to see those 140's soon!

Really missing all my old friends around here lately - mizzie, sarah, janvier, veronique, alta, theresa, luz, andy, where are you guys!!

Wednesday was another great day! Emotionally I’m feeling much better too. Since hubby got home from working out of town we haven’t had a lot of alone time together since he was sick and what not so last night we had a date night and it was exactly what I needed. Got some extra exercise in too!! Here’s how the eating looked:
B – peppermint tea (I was holding out till my weigh-in)
L – chicken with brown & wild rice soup Total 220
Snack – 4 mini mandarin oranges 100
Exercise – 40 min treadmill – 3.7 miles, outer thigh, back, vertical row, bicep curl, shoulder press, vertical bench (3 sets of 12 reps), stretch
D – Turkey stir-fry – turkey breast, carrots, peppers, snap peas, broccoli, mini corn, peanuts, sauce & little olive oil Total 500

I started looking through cookbooks to find a recipe for our Christmas dinner and I got to the dessert section and started reading out the desserts to hubby and both of us had a mad craving for something sweet so instead of driving to the store which we were tempted to do ( to get butter tarts!) we had some cereal which had a lot of sugar in it but it satisfied my sweet tooth and if we would have gone to the store it would have been way worse!

Snacks – 1 cup oatmeal crisp vanilla almond, ½ cup skim milk Total 285, 4 pickled beets 60, 3 mini mandarin’s 75
Total Calories – 1240
I think because I skipped breakfast I was more snacky last night. The extra exercise might have had something to do with it too.
I was 148.8 on my scale this morning!! Lately I wish my weigh-in’s were on Thursday’s. Hopefully I can keep that number on the scale till next Wednesday! Feeling really good today! Only 87 more sleeps!!
Oh speaking of that I went online yesterday and booked all our on shore excursions – when we dock in St. Lucia we are taking a tram and doing a treetop canopy zipline tour through the rainforest! In Antigua we are doing a beach escape with massages!! Everything just sounds so luxurious! I absolutely can not wait!!! It’s really giving me some added motivation right now!
