Hi all! I'm 26 and almost 80lbs over my target weight. I have gained 65 of these extra pounds through pregnancies over the last 5yrs. I have kept the additional 65lbs by not working out at all and not restricting calories. I didn't eat horribly, hardly any fast food, no junk food snacks, but lots of carbs and sauces.
I started working out consistently about 3wks ago. I am starting off simple with the Walk Away the Pounds workouts. I am doing these anywhere from 5-7 days a week and anywhere from 30-80min of the DVDs a day. I am down 5lbs as of today. I like the videos and they fit easily into the kids naptime, but I am afraid they won't be enough to take off the amount of weight I need to lose.
I just started a food journal on one of the links provided and although I thought I ate extremely healthy today, I was still over 40g of fat and 2600 calories! Yikes! I will defenitely be journaling my food every day and paying much closer attention to what I'm eating now.
I have started this journey because of my 4yr old daughter. She was drawing a picture of our family and my husband, herself, and her baby brother were all stick figures and mommy was a circle. She explained that that was because of my big belly. Besides the fact that I despise the way my body looks, I don't want to set a bad example for either her or my son. I want to model a healthy lifestyle for them because it wasn't done for me. I hope I can find the support I need to stay out of the fridge and to keep up the workouts!
Good luck to all!!
