I have been an 'on and off' member of these board for quite a few years... I used them all the way through university whilst my struggle with my weight was the hardest (i think it was the ready available fast food and all that drinking!) and then in the years after uni. I have been spending a lot of time just hovering... reading other people's stories and being inspired with 'before and after' photos... You guys have kept me going.

However due to a series of unfortunate events, such as recently loosing my job (sob) I quickly slumped into comfort eating and my weight has again risen. Luckily I seem to have decided to act fast enough so that I'm not the fattest I've ever been again but I'm still not great. :(

So yeah.. Here I am again weighing in at 197lbs and am 5ft 7 tall.

My plan is to eat healthily (as its more about a lifestyle change then a diet) and to exercise for at least 20mins every day... even if its just a short walk with the dog.

Just thought I would leave a note to say Hi to y'all. :)

Welcome to the forum (again)!

Glad to see that you are making the best of your time and attempting to better yourself. As you hear all the time, start making small changes and work your way into the improved lifestyle. It makes it a lot easier to progress and makes for realistic goals.

Best of luck on your journey and make use of all the motivation you can take from the members. You will get all you can handle and then some. :)
