Homemade protein shake

Hey, I'm on a tight budget and just ran out of whey protein, can anyone recommend a recipe to make your own shake as im currently saving to get some more whey.

You could blend up some tuna and drink that with milk. Ewww

how much are you spending on your whey?

I can get 2.1kg of quality whey for $25 US currency.

you could blend up cottage cheese...that's about it. you need protein to make a protein shake, and aside from dairy, your protein will come from animal meat, or eggs.

and i'm not a fan of drinking egg whites....yuck. if you do it, you need to buy pasteurized egg whites, or you could get salmonella poisoning from raw uncooked egg whites.

there are tons of UK produced whey protein powders.

are you buying online or getting overcharged at a local shop?

this is what i'm currently investigating:
seems you can make it with dried skimmed milk and the only drawback is that it's got a lot of carbs in it but that's ok if you burn it off. I'm still trying to work out a few things about it though as regards to the BV as this can be altered depending on the maufacturing process. Whatever - it works out about £4.50 a kg which aint bad.

Even at twice the price from USA whey probably will still come out to be your cheapest option for high protein and low carb (it costs almost twice as much in Canada as it does in USA at most stores so I have done that math) but people did body build before whey isolates and concentrates were available everywhere.

Like the guys have said here, food is good for protein, you might not even need any whey or other supplement if your diet is really good. The governator used to drink milk after his workouts when he was a competitive bodybuilder.
