Hi I'm new here and need the support and I came across this.

I want to lose 32lbs within 2 months (If that's possible). I'm currently 158 pounds so I want to get down to 126 pounds. I've changed by diet for example today I had.

Breakfast- 2 Shredded wheat with semi skimmed milk and a cup of tea

Lunch- Jacket potato with feta cheese and green salad. 1 Yogurt and 1 Apple.

Dinner- Chilli con carne.

I've also been working out for a hour a day. I do a 14 minute warm up on a rebounder. I then do I fat burn cardio on the rebounder for 12 minutes. I do a ten minute quick walk on on the eppliater (not sure what it's called) I then spend ten minutes toning my abdominals on the rebounder and 10 minutes on a toning seat thing.

I hope this a releastic time set. I would appreciate any advice. :)

Holly, welcome to WLF and to your diary! It's good to have you here.

32 pounds in 2 months is really quick unless you are severly overweight (which you are not). A more realistic time frame would be 3 - 4 months.

Good luck with your quest.

Thank you! I hope it won't take too long. I was 126lbs about 6 months ago but then college stress got the better of me. It's a shame but hopefully I can lose it and stay that way. :)

Best of luck with your goals Holly. 17 and in college? wow.

I live in England. We leave school at 16 then you have the option to go to college until your 18 then after that the option to go to University. It's a lot different than the American system :)

..

wow, that system is very different than here in Canada!

I graduated a half semester earlier than my graduation class because I was ahead. :) And I was already one of the youngest people in the entire graduating class, because I was only 17 at the time. So, at first I figured that is what you did, but then I read your response about being from England. Honestly, I have never heard of that. I guess Im not very cultured. hehe.

So yeah.. Ive been out of school for almost a year and a half and Im still 18. So, when I start college this september I wont be much older than my classmates (only 19,) even though I took so much time off. :) Lucky me. (p.s- college/university are pretty much the same thing here. Whichever one you go to depends on what you'd like as a career.)

Good luck with your weightloss. Two months is rather quick.. you should probably aim for at LEAST three. Since you are not too overweight you may not lose it as fast as a heavier person would because your body will probably burn less calories per day than someone, say, my size. Since you have a smaller body to carry around, it wont burn as much energy when you move. :D

Congratulations on taking the first step! You will do awesome!

Cool,

I don't like to go into peoples journals and say anything. But, I just wanted to comment on this
I then spend ten minutes toning my abdominals on the rebounder and 10 minutes on a toning seat thing.
Toning is a myth, toning equals a low body fat. To be "toned" is to have a low enough body fat with a solid degree of muscle mass. So in essence the only way to tone is to loose weight in the first place. In which case I doubt either one of those two "toning" movements do much in terms of a calorie expenditure, so in a way the are likely a near waste.

Thats cool that your aloud to leave school early. We're not you've got to stay in school until the August of your last year and we have seperate qualifications in each subject so to go to college to do A levels you need 5 GCSES at C and above and you take about 9 GCSES. Then you do four A level subjects.

..

its not really leaving early.. I just finished all the work that I could do in order to qualify for graduation.

For example, to graduate, you need 18 highschool credits..

By February of 2006 I had finished my 18 courses and got my 18 credits. There are certain requirements though. Out of the eighteen, a certain amount have to be maths, a certain amount have to be sciences, etc, etc.

Since I had my 18 credits, there was no point in me staying the rest of the year. If I had decided to stay for the second semester, I would have been taking an extra 4 credits.. meaning I would have graduated with 22 of them.. and I only NEEDED 18, so there was NO point in taking 4 extras.. its pointless work. :p hehe.

So Ive just been working fulltime ever since, and now Im going to college in September.

Hey Holly,

Welcome to WLF!

I've always wondered how the education system in England work... now I know thank you for explaining.

It actually seems like a much more effecient system than here!

Good luck in obtaining your goals

Today had to do some revision for my driving theory test erk.

Breakfast- 2 Wheatabix with semi-skimmed milk and a cup of tea

Lunch- Grilled Salmon steak with grilled peppers and spring onion. 2 ryebread with cottage cheese and 1 rice cake. 1 pot of yogurt

Dinner- Plain rice with sweet chilli chicken.

40 minutes of cardio on the mini trampoline and 10 minute walking pace on the eppliater.

Had some other snacks after the initial above. Had ryebread with a slice of hamd and two rice cakes. Can't help it Big Brother eviction was tonight (UK one). That's always a event with lots of booing and chanting to get the same person out every week.

Woke up quite late this morning about middayish. Woops stayed up watching Big Brother Live feed (Big Brother is annoyingly addictive). Plus this long summer is becoming tedious and boring especially when i feel to uncomfortable and insecure to go out really. For breakfast I had

2 Wheatbix and semi skimmed milk. 1 Cup of tea

And for lunch I'm having

Jacket potato with feta cheese. Green salad (Cucumber and celery). Peaches and a yogurt.

For snacks I'll proberly have ryebread and cottage cheese and rice cakes.

I did 25 minutes of cardio excercise on my rebounder this morning worked up a sweat. I'll do more excercise later I find it easier to split the sessions into two rather than one big mass work out session which gets a bit tedious. Anyone know anything bout injuries because ever since I've started on my rebounder I get a really bad pain in the inside of my ankle and it sort of goes up my leg then it eases of. Let me know if you have any idea what it is. You guys should be glad you don't live in England all summer there has been no sun and just rain and thunderstorms it was like terrential rain earlier.

Anyways Shall write again later :)

Hey Holly, just checking in to see how you are doing. Hope you have a great day.

Griff

Thanks :) I'm doing well. I've been eating a more healthy and balanced diet for the past 2 weeks and haven't given into any temptations...yet. My Dad was making bacon sandwhiches earlier and I turned them down. Yesterday he got some chips for lunch with salt and vinegar and fish cake and everything and I turned it down. Feels good to though :)

Well I've had a look through my photos can't really find anything this is roughly how i look now I blacked out my face for privacy and everything. This was taken in Germany and you can see how big my thighs are.

Earlier I did another 10 minute work out on the rebounder and 10 minutes on the eppilitor (Never remember the name) Put the intesity on the eppilitor-thingy-ma-bob up so I was only walking but still worked up a sweat. That's 45 minutes of working out a day. Is that enough or should I aim for more?

4 weeks and 5 days till I get my exam results eek and 7 weeks till I'm back at college. I'm nervous about both results for obvious reasons and returning to college is gonna be a killer. I haven't seen anyone in months as I've isolated myself from everyone. Whenever I go out I feel people are looking at me going "Er look at her" and it does bug me. And since I don't feel good about myself I've stopped bothering with my hair and make up. It's sad really but at least I'm doing something about it.

Feel free to answer any of my questions and thanks for any replys :)

...

haha, your last post made me laugh! :)

You seem to be doing very well! Keep it up!

Also.. you dont look big at ALL in your picture! I wish my thighs were that small.
What you look like is what Id love to look like!

Whatever makes you happy is what's important though. Keep going! :D

Woo I've lost two pounds yay :)

Done another 20 minutes of cardio excercise this morning nearly killed me as usual. Shall do some more excercise later. Had wheatabix for breakfast and a cup of tea. For lunch I'm having grilled salmon fillet with grilled peppers. Got a driving lesson tomorrow but I really can't be bothered to be honest but got my theory test soon. Then work on Tuesday and Wednesday Erk. Oh well at least Big Brothers on tonight so at least thats something to do :).
