I'm a 21-year-old girl from Finland and I've always been a bit 'tubby'. My BMI's never actually been over 25 (ie. overweight), but it's been close to it since I was a child. In March it however went up to 28! My weight used to be around 70kg (154lbs) and in March it was 81kg (178lbs). So I decided to stop gaining weight and begin a journey to become slim. For once in my life. :)

I've been reading the posts on this forum for some time, though I registered just now. I love how supporting you guys are to each other. ? I'm hoping to get the boost to continue my weight loss with your help.

My goal weight is 60kg (132lbs). I've already managed to lose 7kg (15lbs) in about three months. :) At the moment my weight is about 74kg (163lbs). Oh and I'm 170cm, or 5'7".

I've lost the weight just by fixing my diet, as I'm counting my carbs. It's been working so far, so I'm sticking to it! I think that I can lose the weight without having to exercise, but I'm going to start jogging. But that's mainly because my basic fitness level is super low! It also might enhance the weight loss so win-win situation, I guess. :)

I hope we can support each other's weight loss challenges. Have a nice day everyone! ..Though I'm getting ready for bed, as it's almost 2am here. :D
 
hi blackie, well done on your weight loss.
ive just started doing a low cal diet last week, and I am aiming to be around the same target weight as you - so maybe we could help each other along? Im 25 5foot 2 and 168 pounds. I have a low fitness level too lol but am going to start going on my very dusty crosstrainer and start swimming again.
What kind of foods are you eating? im having a lot of chicken salads and brown rice dishes which I find keep me nice and full.
 
Hi reevy, thanks for the comment! It'd be great to support each other. Good luck with getting fit, it's hard for me at least, since I've been a slacker for all these years. :D

I eat a lot of omelettes, cos one egg has like 0.3g carbs. Add a bit of tuna, prawns and fatty cheese and you've got a nice meal that you can eat for breakfast, lunch or even dinner! :) I'm actually on a very low carb diet, so I've ditched all the bread, rice, macaroni etc. For the first few weeks I missed them, but mainly cos I didn't know what to eat instead! Now it's not a problem and I've substituted them with salads and othe vegetables. I eat a lot of green peppers, courgettes, aubergines and just basic salad stuff. I've been a vegetarian for years, I've always been eating tofu and soy, but now I've increased the amount of them. And for the desserts, I eat lots of whipped cream based desserts. And I've sweeted the cream with stuff called Stevia. :)

The most important thing I did to really kickstart the weightloss was to completely stop eating candy and drinking alcohol. This has been the case for about 8 weeks now and during that time I've lost 11lbs. :)

Hope you'll do well too with the low carb diet! Just the first few weeks are the most difficult ones, it'll get easier!
