HIIT within 2 days of leg workout

What is a good way to combine HIIT into my workout?

I try to do HIIT on an elliptical trainer 3 days a week. After my legs & shoulders day, however, my legs would be hurting for about 2 days because of the 5 sets of squats and I feel I might not be giving my legs enough rest when I do HIIT the day after my legs & shoulders day (especially when running the high intensity bursts on high resistance).

Would you recommend against doing HIIT until the leg soreness goes away?

Thanks.

Nah...you'll be a bit stiff at first but I've always found it made my legs feel better-less sore. Plus it'll be a great way to start building up your capacity and recovery.

OR...you could do your HIIT immediately after the leg workout, which yes would be difficult, but it would be a great way to finish everything off. You would also have more time to rest your legs completely before you hit the next HIIT session

Ah ha! You've caught on to my secret: the secret to all posting is to use ellipses. They make you look really smart...you'll see that I use a lot of them and I am regarded as a genius among pigmy peoples. Of course...on the other hand, I've been told I reminded them of Captain Kirk...giving...one...of his...responses.

Either way, it adds flair, pizzaz, and just plain oodles of fun.
