Hello all, how is everyone doing?
I've basically "known" about HIIT since I was fairly young. My father has been coaching High School level American football for about 20-25 years and when I was mature enough to enter the sport, I understood why we'd vary between low intensity and high intensity workouts. I just didn't know it had a label.
That was years ago and for the past year or so I've been getting back into a fitness routine. The challenge is interesting and entirely self-dependent.
So I've partially developed, from the help of a couple of sources, a routine that I am starting. It goes like this:
Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday
Monday/Wednesday
According to a couple of tests I've done I have about 40lbs worth of body fat. It would be nice if I could reduce this to around 5-10.
Now my question to you fitness gurus out there, you kinesthesiologists that have a penchant for understanding the nature of our bodies, is what is a realistic time frame of this goal?
To me 40lbs doesn't seem like that when talking about weight alone. However, I do not fully understand how fat is stored so thusly I do not have an understanding of how "easily" (so to speak) the body metabolises this form of energy.
My goal is to lose about 20lbs by the end of August. For a self-criticising person such as myself, that goal seems quite attainable. In fact if I couldn't achieve that I would personally expect liver failure just because it seems like such a trivial amount for the time put into losing the weight. (In fact personally I would feel incredibly ashamed if I couldn't shed at least 30-35lbs by August 28th).
I'd appreciate some insights as this topic is incredibly interesting to me, but my work schedule doesn't allow any outside classes and such in order to learn in-depth about the nature of our physical selves.
Thanks for the future replies and I hope this isn't a total waste of time for any of you.
