Hi, everyone! Another newbie here. I live in Montreal, QC, and all my life I've struggled with weight. From the time I was a child I was always rather large, and in recent years have been doing all that I can to lose weight. This is especially important for me not only because I want to look good and feel good, but also because for my size it's dangerous for me to be this size, and also my job is physically demanding and it would be easier to do it if I weighed a little less. Unfortunately for me I'm a real yo-yo person, and seem to put on as much as I lose and sometimes more :( Anyway, you all seem like an awesome lot and I'm looking forward to being here!

Right now I weigh in at about 174lbs, and eventually I'd really like to get down to the "healthy" weight for my size (5'), which is somewhere between 100-105lbs I guess. For the moment though, I'm trying to concentrate on losing between 1 to 3 pounds per week, which in my mind translates to something a little more feasible. ^.^
