High Protien Low Fat Salmon Burgers

I just made a few of these today and they were so good. They are really high in protien and low in fat and perfect for anyone wanting to lose a few pounds and build some muscle. Plus there is OMEGA3 FA in it.

1 can Low Fat Atlantic Salmon
1 Egg
2 table spoons bread crumbs
1/4 cup minced onions (optional)

Combine all those together in a bowl and mix it....

Then make patties like you would with hamburger. Now broil them or grill them.

If you are grilling them sprinkle a little flour on them and put tin foil on both sides then after a minute you can take the foil off so it wont break into pecies.
 
Not to be rude but why would you want a fat reduced tin of salmon ? That's part of the reason to be eating salmon in the first place.

Still.. any recipe with salmon is a good recipe in my books :)

I'm not sure that comment made a whole lot of sense...

Using more calories than you take in is what sheds pounds... Building muscle generally requires additional calories.

protien+fat+carbs= calories

It is high in protien and protien is used to build muscle and fuel the body too.

so say something has a lot of protien, barely any fat and a few carbs say a 70 5 25 split in the amounts, then it is gonna be a lot better for you than something with the same calories with a 5-70-25 split.

Calories and Fat are not associated whatsoever. Calories is just the amount of energy contained. And protein is the best because it can easily be broken down into amino acids and used by the body just by breaking the hydrogen bonds in the protien. (Wow I cant belive i just remembered that stuff from High School).

You have to increase calories to build muscle but you want to do it as lean as possible so you lose weight in the process. So a High Protien/Calorie Low Fat Diet is the best way. Along with a few supplements.

because i dont like the dark meat directly under the skin. haha that really is the only reason...
 
I tried this recipe today but with Tuna, it was quite good actually. Thank you for offering it to us!
