Yes, a high-protein diet is excellent for fat loss - but you cannot avoid carbs or fats - they are also essential for fat loss; it's all about eating a well-balanced diet.

You should be eating 5-7 meals, roughly the same size calorie-wise, with a serving of protein with each (chicken, lean lean beef, canned tuna, egg whites, protein powders).

That being said, don't concern yourself with "snacks" - you'll be eating frequently enough to avoid feeling hungry ever and wanting to "snack."

Peanut butter is fat - but it's good fat. Be sure to use only natural PB, though, to avoid excess sugars and trans fats. I would personally avoid the crackers, though - they are not clean and most crackers contain partially-hydrogenated oils (trans fats).

Stick with drinking only water and no fast foods - that's a great start.

Here are some clean foods to include in your diet: chicken, lean beef, canned tuna, egg whites, sweet potatoes/yams (baked or steamed only), brown rice, oatmeal (not the instant kind in the packets - they're full of sugar), cream of wheat/rice, cottage cheese, fruits (apples, bananas, berries, oranges, etc.), veggies (spinach, broccoli, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.), walnuts, almonds, natural PB

thats great

like spockafina posted, A BALANCED MEAL PLAN: thats the key

protein, carbs and fats are all important as is water, fiber, vitamins and minerals.

i know what you're referring to, as your mid morning and mid afternoon meals. just keep things simple. just as an example at 9am i do 1/2 cup of cottage cheese with stevia and cinammon, 30 grams of walnuts and 2 whole boiled eggs. other things are like a can of tuna with a serving of olive oil poured in along with a piece of fruit.

just some ideas :)

My main problem is well, my week plan, being a full time college student and wroknig all the time its way hard lol. Plus, Iv been totally modavated in all other acpects of my workout but my eating, but I kno now it wont get any better unless i do eat right. Will I still see improvement eating 3 meals a day? I do work out ALOT, I do martial Arts 4 days a week and do Carido 6 times a week as well as weight training. I like meat and chicken, but cannot stand veggies lol, and am highly ellergic to most fruit =/ So needless to say, this will prolly be a very challenging process for me lol. But again, thx for the info guys.

You'll see improvement if you eat 5-7 meals a day. The reason for this is because it keeps your metabolism going at a faster rate. Also, eating protein at every meal will help speed it up, too - the body uses more energy to break down and digest protein than the other macro-nutrients.

I understand that it's difficult with a full-time college schedule + work, but you have to try to make this work for you. The meals don't have to be huge - just a grilled chicken breast (you could grill a bunch in the morning, and just eat them cold as you need to), a handfull of nuts, and an apple. Oh, well, I don't know about your allergies... hopefully there is some produce you can eat.

You sound like you're very active, which is super. Keep us posted and ask whatever you need

Apples and strawberries are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good for you!!! I could eat them all day and never get bored!!!

Usually the flavoured nuts have added sugars and calories and whatnot, so I try to stay away from them. The best kinds are raw almonds and walnuts. Note: be sure to measure them out, because they are very calorie-dense.

Season things as you like - just don't go overboard with the sauces because they can be high in sugar. But I think it's good to add some flavourings so you don't get bored.

I'm glad to hear you're already feeling the difference :)

i agree with the other's advice above, and i think just by your water switch and dumping the fast food you'll make great strides quickly. fast food has INSANE amounts of fat, sodium, sugar & carbs.

If you don't like veggies with your meals, you might try a whole food replacement like some Garden of Life products which give you a day's serving of veggies in a single (admittedly thick and none-too-appetizing) mix-in powder. It's tolerable if you mix it in with some cranberry juice.

Its funny too...when you start cutting out all the crap food, and track your calories, you start to realize that you're not eating enough! All the extra stuff they pump into processed foods (fats and sugars) really adds a lot of empty calories.

6 small chicken breasts, 4 cups of brown rice, and 6 cups of veggies sounds like a ton of food, but is actually just under 2,000 calories. A typical fast-food double cheeseburger has about 500 calories. Add fries and a coke, you're looking at 900.

Ya I eat alot and when i ate at a local chicken place called Chick-Fil-A. I counted my cals on there web site. In just one meal I was eating over 1800!!!! wow....im glad i stoped that lol. But iv been bad this weekend lol. Very bad. Time to get back into my regular rutine lol.

i pretty much hate the way fast food tastes so it's easy not to eat it for me. and seeing "supersize me" recently pretty much sunk any future desires, LOL!

I dispise the tast of fattie foods, it sickens me. and way before that movie or even before I knew about health. once you start eating all good foods you will loose your desire for fattie foods, or bad foods, thats what ive seen anyway.

Yea Im finally starting my Diet tommorow :) Im pretty excited. Gunna go to the store soon to get some Natural Peanut butter , I got alot of apples and Grapes, and chicken and steak lol. Cooking some eggs as we speak. Only eating the white though. I really like hard boiled eggs but thats jsut me. For breakfast, Ima jsut be simple with some Plain ole Cherrios, thne at around 10 30 maybe appple and some grapes we'll see. Lunch Chicken with some eggs, maybe some whoel wheat bread. Season it a lil. Then thats at like I dunno 12 - 12:30 Then at around 2:30 - 3pm. If I can stand it some veggies lol. OR more fruit. Then dinner some steak and Chicken or Fish, with eggs and maybe some brown rice. I dunno...Honestly, Iv never in my life have I had to watch wat I eat as far as Carbs and fats and wat not. So, I dunno wat else I can eat. I relaly dont like veggies, but other than that I like just about anything. Kinda worried about my modavation with it really lol. I can do it..but I kno ill get burnt out on chicken and eggs and all this dam protien and **** lol. Any suggestions on other thigs to eat. Thx

Ty
