Hi!

Hi everyone!

Just joined here...I used to be very into fitness, went to the gym every day, ate clean, and was super fit, but since I started uni last September I've gone from a small size 8 to a 10 and lost a lot of muscle. Now that freshers is over I'm getting back into my old ways!! So I joined here to keep me going.

About me...I'm a business student, I showjump at national level (which is the reason I got into fitness), like kayaking and want to get into slalom but never have enough time! And I like playing tennis and absolutely love going to the gym.

So hi!! Excited for a summer of getting back into shape!

One of the gyms I trained at recently was a uni gym. You are far from uncommon, many discover the joys of the student bars then go back to barbells when they realise lifting dumbbells is better for them than acting like one.
Usual mix of casual to insanely serious in there and where I encountered the most shock at what I do, I guess being twice their age and still mental was considered a bit strange, especially when it was quite evident I am not trying to recapture my youth.
Good news is the effect of muscle memory will mean getting the fitness you had back quicker than you might expect if you are sensible, something I am getting used to but took me years to learn.
