hi :)

my name's chelsea, i'm 19 and wanting to get back into shape. i want to regain my confidence and (possibly) enlist in the military. i have been trying to come up with some sort of work-out plan at home because 1) i cannot afford a gym membership in my current situation 2) i have no equipment whatsoever and will not be able to buy any anytime soon! i have tried searching the internet because i am new to this and don't have the first clue about anything, all it comes up with is workouts for people with all kinds of equipment. if anyone has any suggestions for at home workouts i would appreciate it greatly :)

Hi Chelsea. There are lots of exercises you can do at home that don't require weights or equipments, including press ups, sit ups, squat thrusts, burpees, star jumps, tuck jumps, the plank, the wall sit, lunges and squats. If you're not completely skint, try going to a circuits class and see what they do. Also try a bit of running or cycling, but not too much to start with. Also running clubs can be good value for money. Mine costs about £20 per year to be a member, but then only costs £1 every time I go. I find it's a lot easier to train as part of a group. You have an instructor to push you, and it's less boring.
