Hi,

My name is Ann, I'm 20 years old and I'm starting today on another active attempt to lose weight. Most of the time my attempts don't last longer than a week, but I feel like something really needs to change cause I'm feeling emotionally and physically uncomfortable by the way I am eating. Since I moved to America one year ago I gained 10 kilo's (22 lbs) and now weigh almost 197 lbs (5"8 tall). I've been diagnosed with gallstones and a fatty liver and should really lose weight, preferably I'd go all the way back to 143 lbs. That's the long term goal at least. Short term/my goal for now is to go back to 165 lbs, which would not be skinny, but at least healthy again.

I will make a diary on this site and hope that by even thinking more actively about wanting to lose weight each day, I'll stay motivated.

See you around!

See you around!

I've had kidney stones. I have to change my salt and the amount of beef I eat. I haven't had any issues with them since I've lost my weight & stopped eating large amounts of junk food. You can do this! Just read others posts and try to stay motivated.
Good Luck to you on your weightloss journey!

Hello and welcome to WLF!!! I hope you'll find this site to be as motivating as I do! Please take the time to read the stickies that have been posted...that'll give you a good start.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks both of you. If anyone is also just starting out, I thought maybe it would be a good idea to have someone to connect with who needs to lose about the same amount of weight as I do (32lbs). Anyone?

Good luck on your journey Ann

Hi Ann,

I am new here and have been reading your posts. Just keep at it and make sure to do some exercise as well, that's really important. I cant really talk as I have a lot of weight to lose but I am trying to walk everyday. I allow myself one day to enjoy treats and then as for the rest I try and eat healthy. DON'T DIET, just make healthy eating choices and that way your habits will last a life time. Go girl, you can do it :)

Welcome Ann. Just remember this quote-

"Nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels"
