Hi everyone,,
I'm new here & I hope to lose my 40 lbs with you
I'm focusing on my belly
each pound I lose I stand against the mirror & look at it if it is came smaller or not lool
I'm obsessed about getting flat belly but I'm too lazy to workout
so far I have lost 6 pounds I hope not to gain it back as always do
anyway
I promised myself this time will be different....
So I joined this forum hoping you welcoming me & encourage me to reach my goal :rotflmao:
Best wishes

Hey! Welcome to the forum.

The weight you lose might or might not come from your stomach right away. Everybody is different in those regards. It will come off eventually, though. If you can find the time, doing crunches and planks from time to time will help your stomach look more attractive to you as you lose weight.

thank you Prodigy88 for welcoming

I think parts you exercise while you are trying to lose weight become thinner first
for me belly workouts is the hardest but I'm trying like you said time to time I don't workouts regularly>>I'm kinda laZy but I walk a lot & that's good thing :)

You think wrong.

Sorry but the body is geneticly designed to put fat on in one order and remove in the other. It's different for almost everyone. That is why some people seem to put weight on in the hips first and others the stomach. It's also why you have those areas that always seem to be bigger no matter how much you lose.

First on, last off.

yes U R right about genes I can see some people their weight on their hips others on the stomach
always the upper body have been my problem
But the reason why I think that is when I lost weight the first time I focused on my arms & when I lost the weight people noticed that my arms are thinner
& when I gained it back I noticed my arms are not fat like before & the weight now in my stomach it is fatter than even before I lost the weight

So..on one hand you agree but on the other hand you say but not about me?

Science is science. It doesn't matter how much you focus on your stomach. you will need to do calorie reduction and your body will take the fat away from everywhere it is programed to do, exercising your abs or not.

Welcome Jolly!

You came to the right place. And you are off to a great start!

And it looks like you got the motivation to do it.

Well done. Keep it up and please keep posting your progress.

Its great coming here and reading how well everyone is doing. It pushes me to try harder, eat less, walk faster or further, and sometimes.....it just makes me feel good theres others in the same boat as me....trying to lose weight and get in shape.

Thats pretty cool.

Take care!

no Jerich I said I agree with you & then I mentioned what made me thought that

so I meant even though workouts of course make effects

Well if you workout your abs you won't decrease the fat there, but you will experience gains in muscle. Muscle improves your figure and will give the illusion that part of you has less fat than it actually has. So it does infact have a cosmetic affect if you are going for weight loss, but it will do little to help you lose the fat in that specific area.
