Hello all.
I'm new here. I came across the site looking for a place to chat with others who have lost over 100 lbs without surgery to talk to.
Nothing wrong with having surgery AT ALL, it's just nice to be able to relate to people who have gone through the same things.
People who understand things like the mental and emotional stuff that goes with the weight loss. (like why does no one explain to you that losing the weight doesn't magically give you an "ideal body"?
So, ... again, hello all!! :)

Hey there and welcome,

Sounds like you've done really well. I think there are few people around here who have lost that kind of weight. Maybe you could tell us a little bit about your journey, its always cool to hear success stories...

Anna,
I met my now fiance in Sept. '09, at my heaviest of 284 lbs. (I am 5'4") He fell in love with me at that weight.... which is awesome.... but I felt like I wanted to be "more" for us. Healthier, happier, more confident. I have been on every diet, and decided it was lifestyle changes that were neccessary, not diets or pills. It's been really simple, I don't count calories, or measure how much excercise I get. I just started eating less, no fast food ever, rarely any "junk" food, have meat and veggies mostly, no soda, and only eat when I'm actually physically hungry. Took a spinning class for a bit, other than that just got active. Camping, gardening, walking, just normal stuff. I have been at a stand still for a couple months, right at 170 lbs, but I know that's my own fault,... gonna have to start implementing a real excercise routine I think. Whew!.... that was long... lol. I hope that by coming here to the forums I can get some motivation to get that last 40 lbs off.

Lovish,
I put a couple pics of before, during and current on my profile. I never thought to really take alot of full body transformation pics during the process, which I am totally kicking myself for now. As I find them I will post more.
