My name is Nadia and I'm 26 years old from Boston, MA. I joined this forum because I found that forums provided me with great support in other aspects of my life so maybe joining a weight loss forum will finally help me get rid of the weight I've gained over the last few years.

The first is a picture of me from Dec. 31, 2006. And the second is a picture of me from last month.

I've gained anywhere from 30 to 40 lbs in the past 4 years. I've been hovering at my current weight for the past year or so. I would like to lose at least 30 or 40 lbs and my ideal weight would mean losing an additional 30 more lbs. I'm gonna take it step by step, see where I am when I reach 160 lbs and decide if to lose more or begin maintenance.

I know everything I need to do to lose weight it's just putting it in practice. My biggest problem is with overeating and my seemingly lack of will power. I hope that I meet some people here to motivate and inspire me to keep going. Thanks for reading! :seeya:

Thanks Korrie! I do have a question actually. I noticed some people can post pictures but when I tried to only the links show up. Do you have to have a special membership to post pictures of have been on the forum for a certain amount of time? Thanks!

nope, no membership and i'm PRETTY SURE you dont' have to be here for any amt of time.... You should be able to "go advanced" on a post, and then scroll down past the icons and you'll see a button that says "manage attachments" from there, you should be able to load and post pics :)

Hi Nadia (beautiful name by the way). I think you're gorgeous! You seam to have a good attitude about your goal weight and it seems like a reasonable goal. I hope you find this forum as helpful as I have. :)

As far as the will power, it can only take someone so far - so my best advice is to use the willpower at the grocery store to keep the junk food out of the house, that way you're not tempted by it. Then you don't have to totally rely on the willpower to keep from over eating the junk. :) If it's not in the house you won't be tempted by it. The grocery store is where the biggest part of the weight loss battle is (at least for me). So I had to relearn how to shop healthy.

Anyway, if you have any questions, like Korrie said, don't hesitate to ask. :)

Welcome to the forum!
